Duneside A 2 bedroom caravan nestled in the dunes
Caravan/Mobile Home | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 6
This attractive 2 bedroom caravan (Carnaby Rosedale) is situated on the popular Haven site of Perran Sands at Perranporth Cornwall. Facing towards the dunes it has an open aspect, ideal for families with young children. It sleeps 4 in privacy but has a pull-out sofa bed. This Holiday Park is on a site of Special Scientific Interest due to the rare species of plants found on the dunes.
Perran Sands lies directly above the long sandy beach of Penhale Sands and there is direct access to the beach from the caravan, either leisurely over the dunes, or more steeply by the beach path. At low tide you can walk across the sand to Perranporth and at high tide take the Coast Path.
The ancient celtic cross of St Piran lies about 20 minutes over the dunes from the caravan but can't be seen and works are due to be carried out sometime I believe, to uncover St Piran's oratory.
The Holiday Park has all the amenities that you would expect from a Haven site, restaurants, bars, shop and many activities including indoor swimming pool. Some of these activities however, including the entertainment have to be paid for separately.
Perranporth Golf Club is just next door.
There is a surf school on site which will hire out all the equipment you need.
Perranporth, with all its bustling activity, is just a short walk along the beach, or you can take the coast path if you prefer.
Newquay is quite close but why get the car out when you have the beach and surf pounding away right below your feet?

The West Country region
Perranporth, on Cornwall's Atlantic coast is a mecca for surfers. The beach, Penhale sands, is lifeguarded so surfers and swimmers can enjoy their sport safely under the watchful eye of the RNLI.
Perranporth is named for St Piran who is said to have been tied to a mill stone and thrown over a cliff. He floated miraculously across calm seas to Perranporth from Ireland. He is the patron saint of Tin miners and the whole of Cornwall.
There is much to see and experience in Cornwall. From the pristine golden sandy beaches of the coastal area to its history of tin and copper mining. Many artists and writers have written about the area and made their home here.
There are fine restaurants and art galleries to discover. Truro is your nearest city but Penzance and Land's End are within a short car drive.
