This cosy and attractively renovated semi-detached cottage is situated just a short walk to the magnificent beach and village amenities of Perranporth yet its location is a very quiet area just two minutes walk from open countryside. Engellie is ideally situated for guests looking for a romantic bolthole on the North Cornish coast; this 200 year old semi-detached cottage is exceptionally charming and cosy. This cottage offers two bedrooms that are furnished and equipped to a high standard, perfectly positioned for a beach holiday and very central for touring the whole of Cornwall. St.Agnes, Newquay and Truro are within a ten minute drive and further south you can visit Falmouth, Lands End and St Ives, which can easily be reached by car within a thirty minute drive. Close by there are numerous holiday attractions to suit all age groups with an abundance of art galleries, workshops and places to eat and drink. A super traditional cottage available to book any time of the year.
Sleeps 4. Front entrance into the cosy lounge with beamed ceilings and a log burner set into a feature fireplace. There are two 2-seater sofas so snug that you may have to be pushed out the door to experience the fantastic beach walks just down the road, a small television with a DVD player and a drop leaf dining table which is hinged up to the wall for easy storage, supplied with four chairs. Kitchen: Electric cooker, microwave, fridge with a small freezer compartment and a washing machine in the utility area. Fully tiled bathroom: Fitted with a shower over the bath, hand basin and WC, supplied with a heated towel rail. Upstairs: Bedroom One: Kingsize bed (5ft). Bedroom Two: Twin Beds (3ft). Garden: Small enclosed decking area to the rear. To the side of the cottage there is a lockable alleyway, an ideal area to store bikes and surf boards.

"cosy cottage in ideal location"
we had a lovely week in engellie cottage ,it had everything we needed ,was in a great location 5 mins if that from the beach and shops but yet set back in a quiet part of perranporth. it was lovely and warm,had fluffy towels,nice clean bedding and was very clean and tidy,we would definately go here again

Engellie cottage is a 150 year old fisherman's cottage that has been beautifully restored. It is on the level and away from the centre of the village of Perranporth but within easy walking distance. It is well fitted out and we had a lovely comfortable stay in this warm and cosy cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated with co ordinating bedding and towels. Everything you needed to cook was available in the kitchen including towel rolls, tin foil and cling film.....What a bonus
We would certainly visit again and recommend to friends.
Being very picky i would recommend that the toilet seat lid is replaced (it was absent during our stay) and that the cleaner is provided with a long handled feather duster....The wooden beams are very high and in September you do get the odd spider wanting to make a web.
Also that the cleaner be provided with a steamer for the bathroom tiles... As its a small bathroom its easy to get a build up of condensation if you do not open the window and this appears to have resulted in a small amount of marks on some of the tiles which would easily be rectified. Also to increase the water temperature in the shower (although this may have been us not being au fait with the central heating.
Please also, you have a lovely big bed that is really comfortable but please get rid of the fitted sheet (a misnomer if ever there was one) and just have flat sheets.
I am being really picky with the above but it would turn this wonderful cottage into a 5 star plus, home from home
