The apartment is situated between Perignan and Narbonne where the mountains meet the sea, Port Leucate is an attractive beach resort with a lively marina, shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment is 3 minutes walk from the long clean sandy beaches of the Meditteranean. In the heart of the Fitou & Corbiere wine producing area there are oppportunities for walking, cycling, windsurfing or a drive through breathtaking scenery or a visit to a ruined Chateau. The apartment sleeps two comfortably although the sofa bed provides enough room for young children.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region
Port Leucate sits between the Gulf de Lions and a vast salt-water lagoon in the French Mediterranean just north of the border with Spain. The port has all facilities your holiday could need. There are many restaurants around the marina with locally produced food and wines. Shops that boast fresh produce of meat, fish, fruit and vegetables for sale. All this within a five minute walk from the apartment.
Perpignan area
Port Leucate and Fitou are about 10 miles apart, half way between the Languedoc towns of Perpignan and Narbonne; Port Leucate is between the large sea lake and the Mediterranean beaches. All the beaches have EEC Blue Flag accreditation. The area is a major windsurfing centre and offers a wide range of water sports. The town is most suitable for couples and families, but may not provide the right entertainment for young singles. As the area is in the southernmost corner of France the mild climate makes it ideal for an out of season visit and we often have visitors during the autumn and spring. There are many markets and festivals during the summer months.
