New one bedroom apartment in Vista D'Oro, a brand new development on the hillside just below the village of Perledo and 2 minutes up the hillside by car from the romantic and historic town of Varenna.
With lovely views of Lake Como from the living room and balcony, this apartment is ideal for anybody looking to be 2 minutes out of town and two minutes from the hills and lake. The apartment has the use of the residence outdoor swimming pool (open at the beginning of June) and has secure garage parking.
Varenna is the ideal location, being on the Golden Triangle (Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio). With a truly ancient cobbled town as your backdrop, you can travel around Lake Como by ferry (car ferries are only available in the 'triangle'), explore the villas and gardens and delight in the romantic setting whilst enjoying the local cuisine fresh from the lake. Easy to get to by car or train, only 90 minutes from the airport or from Milan railway station.
Varenna's Romantic Promenade - If you walk along the waters edge to the right of the ferry terminal you will naturally be led to the lakeside promenade 'La Passerella' which is a cantilevered walkway coming out from the rock face of the shore. Apparently the bequest of a wealthy benefactor, the promenade was constructed to connect to the main part of town by way of the water's edge. This delightful promenade leads you along the lake, under the arched supports of several second story balconies, to the centre of the town's shoreline. A favourite with romantics and especially beautiful in the evening as the sun is going down.

Varenna - Get Away from it all!
Varenna is the place to get away from it all, but also be in touch with the rest of the Lake. For the romantics, the historians or for those who love peace, tranquility and a history that goes back thousands of years this is the place.Varenna is an ancient fishing village with close to 1000 residents spread along a steep hillside overlooking Lake Como.
The first evidence of Varenna existence dates back to 493. After the nearby island of Comancina was destroyed the population increased and flourished. The warring factions, as with much of Lombardy saw Varenna at odds with Como on many occasions and the rule of Varenna pass in typical Italian family tradition from the Visconti family to the Sfondrati's. Today Varenna is a lovely spot to chill out, although be aware that shops and even restaurants have been known to shut for lunch, so expect the better things in life to take longer.

Cleaning Costs
There is a final cleaning cost of €70 when staying for one week & €90 when staying for two weeks with all bed-linen & towels included. If staying for two weeks or more – the bed-linen & towels will be refreshed after each week. All utility usage such as water, electricity & gas, are included in the rental price.

Payments by Credit/Debit Card & Wire Transfer
There are no additional charges for credit or debit card payments. However, all bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender. To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our booking form online and pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
