Large swimming pool has a commanding view across the valley. There is also a pool house with shower room and toilet as well as a solar shower.
Lavaud also offers a full size professional tennis court as well as an indoor games/fitness room. This is equipped with fitness machines, pool table, ping-pong and darts.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
Location
Although rurally located Lavaud is near to plenty of local attractions, including caves, chateaux, quaint villages and restaurants. With St Jean de Cole only a few minutes drive away this beautiful village has been voted as one of France's prettiest. The magnificent chateau at Jumilhac is well worth a visit along with the Venice of the Perigord - Brantome.
For the more adventurous of you then there is canoeing at Brantome or on the River Dordogne near Le Bugue.
Being just 3 hours drive away to the Massif Central for skiing and 3 hours drive to the coast those of you who wish to venture further afield can easily do so. Bordeaux is just over 2 hours drive away.
With the capital of the Dordogne, Perigueux, being only 30 mins away a visit to the old town is a must. The twice weekly market and vast choice of restaurants will make the trip one to remember.

This large property easily sleeps up to 12 people plus cot. The accommodation comprises of: Ground floor
* Kitchen - large, with a stone fireplace and range cooker. The kitchen is well equipped with all mod cons and has a large dining table. Patio doors lead straight out onto the terrace with its large enclosed garden and terrace, barbecue area for alfresco dining. * Lounge – the lounge is comfortably furnished with large settees and includes TV, CD and video and Satellite. The large bay window with its window seat overlooks the garden. * Entrance hall – old oak staircase leading to the first floor.
First floor
* Three bedrooms - one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. The double bedroom with kingsize bed has a luxurious Tempur mattress, offering considerable comfort. * Bathroom – with large bath, basin, toilet and bidet. * Shower room – good size shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin. * Laundry room – washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, iron and ironing board.

The terrace offers a magnificent view across the valley, and with direct access from the kitchen to the terrace and barbecue, enables you to dine alfresco. With plenty of seating and large table with shade dining on the terrace admiring the views is a must. There are woods and walks straight from the farmhouse. With an abundance of maps and leaflets of things to do locally walkers or cyclists alike have got plenty of choice. For those looking for a more relaxed holiday then Lavaud also makes for an ideal setting to relax and unwind.
The setting for the swimming pool offers stunning views across the valley, and is not over looked. The 12 x 6m floodlit swimming pool is south-facing and has roman steps for easy access. The pool is fenced for the safety of young children as well as having 2 pool alarms. Sun loungers and garden table and chairs are also available around the pool along with large metal gazebo offering plenty of shade
