Home description

The mobile home is home from home & well equipped with micro wave, satellite tv, cd radio, dvd. Washing machine, ironing and a second cooker are housed in a small cabin at the side of the lake, we have badmiton, table tennis, swings, table football, fishing in the lake. All this is set on a site of 1400 sq mtr in beautiful countryside (so relaxing), yet not far from lots of great places to visit!

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region

The Dordogne countryside has rolling lush green hills (beauty in itself), but the Dordogne has so much more to offer. There are so many beautiful Perigordine villages and towns to visit, and the long hot sunny days make the abundance of tourist attraction and activites a joy.

Perigueux / Thiviers area

Excideuil is a typical Perigodine town with its own chateaux, shops and weekly market. Our local village is Corgnac sur Lisle. It has a canoe station, tennis courts, velo rail, restaurant, bar, cafe, news agent (fishing permits are available here), butchers, bakers, 2 x mini markets, pharmacy, hair dressers, post office, picnic areas by the river etc.

Thiviers town is capital of the Truffle & just 6 km away, Perigeux is just 25 mins drive and has so much to offer for a day out. Brantome (known as the Venice of the Dordogne) is just 20 mins away. Ruffiac lake with water sports etc is an hour away and Jumilacle Grand for horse riding 30 mins. There are chateaux in every direction and so much more.

In the summer months there are too many fetes, night markets and Brocantes etc to list!

How to get there

Airports with regular low cost flights to many UK airports are Limoges (1 hr), Bergerac (1hr 15 mins) & Boreaux (2 hrs). You will find most popular car hire companies at these airports.
It is approximately 8 hrs drive from most ferry ports.
