Home description
Situated in the Limousin National Park and route of Richard the Lionheart. The property dates back to the 12th Century and has been refurbished to a high standard. Free bike hire if required and fresh produce from the garden when available.
The cottage is situated next to our farmhouse, 800 m from a small village with a shop, 2 bars and a church. The nearest supermarket is just 10km away. Chateaux, caves, gardens and vineyards all just a short drive away. Horse riding, canoeing, swimming, to mention just a few of the activities within easy reach.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
Dotted with chateaux, beautiful medieval towns and villages, unspoilt countryside and prehistoric caves make the Dordogne region one of the most beautiful and popular regions of France. Markets selling fresh truffles, cèpes and foies gras are marveled by visitors from all over the world and the breathtaking countryside has to be seen to be believed.
Perigueux / Thiviers area
Thiviers is renowned for its foie gras and Saturday market, Jumilhac Le Grand for its chateau and Gold Museum, Sorges for its truffles and Museum. St. Yrieix la Perche for its Friday market and porcelain shops, good restaurants and lake. Rouffiac lake has a beach, boats and jet ski. All these places are a short drive away.
How to get there
Cheap flights available with Ryanair and Flybe to Limoges or Bergerrac. Car hire available at Limoges Airport Limoges Airport is less than an hours drive Bergerac Airport is a 2 hr drive Ferry crossings are also available from Cherbourg or Calais, you would then either have to drive or take the train the rest of the way. If driving all the way, a good idea might be to stay somewhere overnight, as it is a 10 hr drive from the port.
