This elegant 17th century manor house is located 10km outside Périgueux, in the heart of the Dordogne, in close proximity to the main tourist sites of the Périgord.
Surrounded by 12 hectares of prairies and woodlands, this property has always been a place for rest and relaxation. This rare charm has been preserved over time and can be felt particularly in the harmony of its living rooms.
A high level of comfort is guaranteed for 10 to 12 guests with garden furniture shaded by century old trees, an enormous fully-equipped kitchen, three living rooms of which two have working fireplaces, six bedrooms and four bathrooms. In addition, various leisure activities are available on site : piano, library, CD, DVD, broadband internet access, satellite TV, table football, table tennis, swimming pool (12 x 6 meters) with electric safety cover and private tennis court. Close by, there is golf (Perigueux 7km) and horse riding (10km).

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region

The Dordogne, or the Périgord as it is known by the French, is one of the most beautiful regions in France. The Périgord Noir, which derives its name from the black truffles found here and its walnuts, is to be found in the triangle of Sarlat, Domme and Les Eyzies, cut through by the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. The Périgord Noir is a stunning mixture of prehistoric caves hidden in tree-covered valleys and medieval castles dating from the 100 years war. You cannot fail to be impressed by the number and variety of castles that there are to visit, as well as the multitude of cavemen dwellings and underground sites.

Perigueux area

Toirac Manor is located between the wine region (near Saint-Emilion) and the Sarlat region with its castles, medieval villages and prehistoric caves.

 tour of the Prehistoric cave in Villars and the Château of Puyguilhem, one of the finest examples of early Renaissance construction,

 tour of Bourdeilles Castle (13th & 15thC. fortress and Renaissance Palace overlooking the Valley of the Dronne),
 tour of the wine producing region (Saint-Emilion, Pomerol, Bergerac, Montbazillac,...),
 tour of the truffle Ecomuseum in Sorges,
 and of course, tour of the Sarlat region with its mediaval castles & fortified villages.

- from Paris : 300 miles, entirely by motorway (journey time approx. 5.30 hours)

- Paris to Perigueux = 4 hours, then Perigueux to Toirac = 10 miles
