Self Catering Holiday Accommodation at our characterful Spanish Country Villa with large private swimming pool, set in the Andalucian Hills, close to the village of Periana, between Malaga and Granada.

Spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside look over towards Lake Vinuela and the Mediterranean Sea.

ACCOMMODATION

Bedrooms:

3 comfortably appointed double bedrooms.

-Each bedroom has a double bed.

-Bedroom 3 has an extra bed up a ladder on a mezzanne platform (very popular with older kids and teenagers!).

-Optional single folding bed available on request.

-Bedlinen and towels are provided.

Huge well-equipped kitchen diner with all modcons including range-style cooker, chrome fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

2 bathrooms, both with shower, bidet and WC, one with bath.

The accommodation is spacious, stylishly decorated in traditional Andalusian style and comfortably furnished. Little extras we provide include Egyptian cotton towels and designer bed linen, a welcome pack with our own local olive oil and specially bottled wine, and a house book with maps and local information.

POOL

The pool is really large - 10 by 5 metres - big enough for proper swimming or for a large group to splash about in, and deep enough for diving. There are sunbeds and a cane shaded canopy, and fantastic views from the poolside "mirador" (viewing terrace).

GARDENS & TERRACES

There are acres of space outside, including your own private olive groves to explore, huge oak trees to laze under, beautiful sunny gardens, bougainvillea and jasmine and vine shaded terraces.

There is an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and dining area for eating alfresco and dining under the stars.

LOCATION

Secluded and tranquil, Villa Amapola is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all, an ideal retreat for outdoor pursuits like horse riding, bird watching and hill walking, and within easy access of the local village of Periana, local tapas bars and some excellent restaurants.

The beaches of the Costa del Sol, with water sports, ice cream parlours and some fabulous seafood restaurants are only a 20 minute drive. It's an hour to sightseeing at Granada's Alhambra Palace and the shopping, museums and galleries of Malaga's historic centre.

Recommended outings and expeditions include touring the white hilltop villages of the Axarquia, a visit to El Torcal national park, or a day trip to Cordoba, Ronda or Seville.

We can advise on trips, restaurants and activities and are happy to help with reservations for the Alhambra Palace. Just ask us for details – we are happy to help!

Interaction with guest

24 hour caretakers on hand - just call if you need us. We will be there to meet you on your arrival (if you arrive very late we will leave keys for you but will be on hand if needed!). All contact is entirely at guest's discretion. We visit the villa twice weekly to water the plants and clean the pool, but otherwise we will leave you in complete privacy. However, if you need advice, information, help or just a bit of company, we're happy to help!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Bea & Shane (the owner) a message.

If Bea & Shane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
