Two floors apartment, with access from an external stone stair that brings to a beautiful spacious, panoramic terrace on the first floor. The entrance gives to a very large living dining room with armchairs and a beautiful working fireplace, table and kitchenette. Three steps lead to a disengagement and a bathroom with shower. On the opposite side of the room, a beautiful stone stair brings to the second floor with two matrimonial bedrooms, one triple bedroom, one bathroom with shower and one bathroom with tub. If needed, another bed can be added in one of the rooms.
Outside, the private garden, at the bottom of the entrance staircase, and the big terrace with pool and panorama view, equipped with table and chairs to dine "al fresco". Barbecue is at disposal.

The holiday farm "Antiche Dimore di Poggianto" lies in a unique panoramic position and is ideally located for visiting the major art cities of Tuscany and Umbria. A few minutes from the farm, the two charming medieval villages of Pergine Valdarno and Laterina offer the convenience of all services and nearby you can find numerous sports facilities.
The holiday farm has been recently restored in the full respect of the old Tuscan style and the wonderful apartments are all very big, with plenty of room and with all comforts for the maximum relax.
All the apartments have private entrance, private garden for outdoor dining and reserved area in the big panoramic swimming pool.

The Tuscany / Arezzo Province region
The Upper Valdarno is a large natural trough, enclosed by the mountains of Pratomagno and the Chianti Mountains. In the Middle Ages, the valley was long disputed between Florence and Arezzo, and today its provinces are divided between the two capitals. Numerous archeological finds of Etruscan and Roman period bear witness to the population of these areas already in the Archaic period.
The Valdarno has many landscapes, the high slopes of Pratomagno and the main storical centers of Montevarchi, San Giovanni Valdarno and Terranova Bracciolini. Many sites to visit, the Cassia Vetus, the ancient road that connected the lucumony of Arezzo to Fiesole, "The Cliffs", a spectacular landscape with beautiful clay erosion. Along the road "Setteponti ", the Roman Bridge Buriano of 1200. Leonardo da Vinci himself, excited at the sight of these places, chose them as the background of his most famous work, the Mona Lisa. Places of interest are also Parish Church of St. Peter in Gropina (National Monument), Laterina, Montozzi Castle, Cennina Castle, Montebenichi, Bucine, Il Borro, Galatrona tower, the Nature Reserves, The Park of Cavriglia and "The woods of Friars", the Botanical Rose Garden Fineschi, the Monumental Arboretum in Moncioni, the Museum of Paleontology of Montevarchi.
The Pergine Valdarno area
The area is full of nice restaurants that offer either the typical Tuscan cuisine or Pizza.
Supermarket, bank, pharmacy, food stores and grocery are in Laterina and Pergine Valdarno only 3 km from the house. More stores and a supermarket are in Levane, while Ipermarkets and every kind of stores are in Montevarchi and Arezzo. Open air markets in every small town or village in the area every day of the week.

Many thanks to Marina and Alessio for one of the best holidays in recent years. Never had such clean and comfortable apartments, superb swimmingpool and relaxed atmoshphere. Our kids (12 and 10) love this place and we will return. |

We stayed at Viola apartment, 2 couples with kids. Spacious apartment, nice interior, many toilets, really comfortable. The pool is quite big, every apartment has its corner with sunbeds. Veranda and bbq, we spend several evenings in the house cooking in a well equiped kitchen. In a whole it's a very nice place in picturesque tuscan hills, not so many plants around the house but beautiful views and sunsets. There are only 2 points we'd like to improve: - the road to the house (especially when it goes up near the entrance) is in a bad condition, it's not easy to go up on a car with mechanical transmission. Hope someday nice owners Alessio and Marina will find a way to improve it. - air conditioning will be very useful as there are many hot and sunny days in summer. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay, thanks to attentive hosts Alessio and Marina. Response: In October 2012, the road has been fully kitted out with cement and is now absolutely easy. |
