With fine white beaches and located in a bay that serves as a protection against wind, the beach of Pereybere is the best beach in Mauritius, mostly frequented by tourists. No matter how low the tide is, the lagoon is always chest deep. Spending half a day there is real pleasure, specially as it is far from the madding crowd.

Péreybčre is situated in the North of the island, and life revolves around the public beach area, which has recently been refurbished and accommodates good restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and beach hawkers selling Mauritian keepsakes.
The beach of Péreybčre is a local favourite for its sandy beach, very calm and crystal clear waters which are safe for swimming and snorkeling (no dangerous sea creatures and speed boats around). Convenient ways to get around: bus, bicycles, scooter, car and taxis.
