The Mauritius North Coast/Grand Baie region
Grand Baie, the well-known coastal village in the northern part of the island, provides a number of leisure activities; while the local boutiques and typical mobile stalls blend harmoniously with shopping malls.
Pubs, restaurants, casinos and nightclubs will delight all those who enjoy nightlife.
The magnificent Bay offers a shiny view with all types of pleasure-craft: fishing boats, boats for diving, speed-boats for ski fanatics as well as the traditional canoes for boat trips.
The Pereybere area
We recommend to explore the island by car. Must visit attractions and places;
~ best breakfast and shopping: Sunset cafe, located at the Sunset Boulevard ( 5 min by car from the villa),
~ food shopping: "U" supermarket has everything
~ Italian food:" Paparazzi" and "Voglia matta"
~ Special occasion dining: best breakfast buffet and dinner choice at the Royal Palm hotel ( booking required)
~ Furniture and home accessories: Meubles des Iles, Uni and small boutiques around the area.
~ Places to see: Aventure du sucre ( sugar factory turned into museum, also has a great cafe ), Tea road, Grand Cascade, Pirate boat adventure to Ile au Cerfes.
~ Dinner experience on a traditional Mauritius boat at "20 degres Sud" boutique hotel.
