About this location
The Umbria region
The center side of Italy is full of art cities and breathtaking landscapes, and Spoleto is in strategically location that allow you to reach, not so far, beautiful cities like Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto e Siena.
Those Cities mantains, almost unchanged, the charme of the ancient times, with remains on different historical periods, from the Etruscan ruins and Catacombs to the Renaissance period
The Castle of Perchia is in a beautiful hillside location, approximately 8 km from Spoleto, still intact walls, doors, and several towers.
The "Castrum" dates from the fourteenth century. From a document dated 1380, it seems that the castle before, was called "Villa of S. John of Panaria ".

"The best apartment, pool and location ever"
We have travelled a lot to apartments in Europe and this was the best location, apartment and pool we have ever stayed at. The location was ideal for us as we were looking at frescoes and hill towns including Spoleto, Spello, Trevi and Montefalco and Marmore Falls are a must. Perchia was quiet but easily accessible with 360 degree views and a beautiful pool. Although the castle is still partly being restored all restoration had ceased while we were there and it is immaculately kept, window boxes, flowers, trees and gardens beautiful and is much better than it looks on holiday lettings website. Our top floor apartment was huge and with windows on all sides, very cool during the hot days and evenings. The owners were all very friendly, helpful and did all they could to make our stay happy and easy, including offering to meet us on the motorway exit, which we should have accepted as we did get lost on arrival - we thought using google maps would be sufficient but there were no local signs. Gianni did offer us a SATNAV while we were there! They also provided beautiful table and chairs on the terrace, which was hard to leave in the evenings as sunsets and views are amazing. There is a laundry room with new washing machine and lots of equipment for children. Our teenagers were happy with the pool, the space and the wi-fi which worked perfectly.
