About the home

Harbour View Penthouse 3 is situated at the bottom of historic Chapel Street, where Lord Nelson's death was first brought to England and a short stroll to the heart of the old market town of Penzance, bustling with shops and trendy restaurants. The beach pathway leading onto Long Rock and Marazion beaches and onto St Michaels Mount is only a ten/fifteen minute walk form the apartment.

Newly converted this Spring, the accommodation comprises two bedrooms, one en-suite and a sofa bed in the lounge area. There is also a family bathroom with shower over the bath. The kitchen is fully fitted with washer / dryer, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave and breakfast bar. There is also a dining table and chairs to seat 6. There is a private balcony overlooking the harbour and sea.

The West Country / Cornwall region

This far west is blessed with one of the mildest climates in the country. The first spring daffodils are picked on the Isles of Scilly each year. Here we are also steeped in history, from shipwrecks and sunken treasure to ancient monuments and amazing historic buildings! Lands End is a stone's throw away with its rugged cliffs and tales of mystery of the lost 'Land of Lyonnesse' buried under the waves.The sea is all around with coves and cliffs at every turn.

The Penzance area

Penzance is a busy market town in its own right, but not far away you have the city of Truro and the sailing capital Falmouth, each have main high street shops to cater for your shopping needs. Fabulous beaches are everywhere including Sennen, Praa Sands, Marazion and St Ives which is an magnet for artists as the home of the Tate Gallery, as is Newlyn with Newlyn School of Art. The Eden Project is 3/4 hour drive away and is a must.

We have lots of Interesting National Trust properties including the famous St Michael's Mount (described as the jewel in Cornwall's crown) and Lanhydrock House. Penzance also has its own Golowan festival 'Mazey Day' at the end of June. You can take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly on 'The Scillonian'. The terminal and ticket office is just 300 metres away.

“We love harbours and friendly atmosphere” Perfect location, a place where you feel at home,,,we stayed for a month for the second time :-) Interesting surroundings, beautiful rides and walks, impressive coastal views and a perfect "little pirate town".

“Really great, can't wait to return” Very well positioned in the older part of Penzance. Apartment was very well equipped and we loved the great harbour view and double doors on to the balcony .Living areas very spacious and airy.Owner Nigel was extremely helpful and provided many tips on good walks, sightseeing and good eating spots. The attached restaurant was excellent with brilliant food and offered a 10% discount to guests. Parking not provided but plenty available in nearby streets.

“Brilliant stay again, and Nigel a great host.” Third time at Bosuns Locker, appartment 3, and each stay for a week. Great place Penzance, and Nigel is a very knowledgeable person, who can recommend anything you want. Good pubs, and weather was brilliant on two occasions, so plenty of walks done. The appartments were clean and well equipped. Slight problem with lights blowing, but Nigel would be attentive and replace. Another problem was the Wi-Fi connection....ifffy!
