About the home

This stunning property is reached via a spiral granite staircase and leads to an open plan apartment with two en suite bedrooms.

The lounge has two large arched windows offering fabulous harbour and far-reaching coastal views over Mounts Bay and St Michael's Mount. Spectacular both day and night. There are even sea views from the bath!

The Bell Tower is situated on Chapel Street, Penzance's most historic area, featuring excellent pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries. The sea front is two minutes walk, the outdoor lido and nearest beach just five minutes walk away. Penzance train station is approximately half a mile away.

The property is ideally situated as a base to explore the South West or to stay in Penzance and access all the facilities of the town including the lido, beaches, shops, restaurants, botanical gardens and coastal walks. Day trips to the Scilly Isles leave from Penzance 7 days/week.

The Bell Tower apartment is accessed via wonderful granite spiral staircase, unfortunately this makes access difficult for the infirm and very young. Buggy access would be difficult.

The Penzance lido is less than 5 minutes walk and considered one of the best art deco lidos in the UK.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall is one of the most beautiful areas of the country, with miles and miles of quiet, sandy beaches, and gorgeous inland scenery. Enjoy a long walk along the coastline, stopping off at local pubs and ending with a traditional Cornish afternoon tea, or alternatively relax with one of the many novels set in Cornwall.

The Penzance area

There are plenty of restaurants and eating places, the speciality being seafood, there are over 20 restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the Bell Tower. Cornwall and Penzance have long attracted artists, so there are numerous Art Galleries and craft shops, as well as the famous Art Deco Lido, Minack Theatre and Penzance Cinema.

Relax on the beach, enjoy a coastal walk, there is plenty on offer in Penzance, from fishing to horse riding, surfing, sailing, dolphin trips and visits to the Seal Sanctuary. There is a regular train service to St Ives, and St Michael's Mount is well worth a visit.

“Ideal place to stay 'perfect' location with character and yet very modern too!” Great place for travelling and seeing the sights! Accom. was fab, very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay and lots more. Ideal location for drinking and food (Plenty of pubs and Curry Corner is fantastic!!!) and for catching local transport...we used both train and bus. Fab hoiliday at a great price....doesn't happen very often these days! A very relaxing holiday...Thank you!!
