Penzance area
Situated 10 miles from Lands End and on the shores of Mounts Bay. Penzance is an area surrounded by natural beauty and full of celtic culture. Golden sandy beaches, clear warm seas, secret coves and rocky cliffs surround the area and this stunning landscape has proved to be the scource of inspiration for many poets and artists.
Penzance is a central base for exploring all around west cornwall, Lands End, Sennen, Zennor, St Ives, Newlyn, Mousehole, Marazion, there is always something to do, for everyone, country walks, beaching, surfing, swimming, or just mooching, round the several villages out in the countryside and just enjoying the peace and quiet.
How to get there
Newquay airport is only 45 mins drive from Penzance, where Air South West and Ryanair, have flights from most major cities in UK.
The train station is 5 mins drive from our house, or a taxi ride, so a car is not essential, and if a hire car is required, Europcar operates from the station and is very reasonable, although there are several other companies in the area.
