About the home
The Chocolate House, built in the 1700’s, lies in the heart of Chapel Street in between an eclectic mix of dwelling houses, historical buildings, bistros, bookshops and the beautiful St Mary’s Church can be seen from the front of the house.
Deceptively spacious and recently renovated to a high standard, the owners have retained and lovingly restored much of the original character whilst adding modern day luxuries’ such as Wifi internet access, under floor & central heating, gas stove and some double glazed wooden sash windows.
Some harbour, sea and coastal views are enjoyed from the first floor sitting room and second floor bedroom, whilst the sunny roof terrace makes the most of the morning through to mid afternoon sun.
There is reserved private parking for one car close to the cottage.
Due to the quirks of the house, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties as the stairs leading to the second floor bedroom are narrow and steep.

The West Country / Cornwall region

West Cornwall has a spectacular rugged coastline and an ever changing landscape. Cornwall is an all weather location that offers something for everyone.
This south west county enjoys a milder climate than much of England, and consequently Cornwall has long been a popular all year round self catering holiday getaway. The North Cornwall area provides the best surfing in England, with towns like Newquay, Perranporth, Polzeath, St Ives and Bude filling with enthusiasts every year.
The Penzance area
The most Westerly market town in mainland UK, Penzance has much to offer. A comprehensive shopping centre with a diverse range of galleries, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
Penzance is now on a par with St Ives for it's arts culture, with many art galleries and the recent addition to the town of 'The Exchange' gallery. As a very large number of renowned artists live and work - indeed gain their inspiration - in Penwith, it is certainly making Penzance a sought after holiday destination.
Steeped in delightful architectural buildings with all the history to go with it and enjoying one of the longest promenades in England, Penzance is fast becoming known for its individuality, magical scenery and generally mild weather - although it is a pretty spectacular experience to watch the occasional storm!
