There are spectacular uninterupted sea views from all rooms except the bathroom. The house has been refurbished at the end of 2007 creating a very homely feel using a cream/brown colour scheme, and adding a splash of warming colour throughout.
The house sleeps 6. There are three bedrooms, a double room with a 5 foot bed, second double room with two twin three foot beds, and a third bedroom comprising of bunk beds. The beds are very comfortable with colour co ordinted linen, and you can check the surf without leaving your bedroom.

The lounge has two italian leather sofas, large rosewood fire, also freeview TV, DVD, Video to take down your favourite films, a good selection of children's video's/ DVD.s. The separate Dining Room has a extending 6 seater maple suite, wood burning stove, and equipped with all the accessories that you would have at home. The well equipped kitchen has a intergrated cooker /hob, built in fridge/freezer, dishwasher plus washing machine, microwave, and breakfast bar. And all the usual equipment, and a large George Forman Grill. which may also be used for outdoor use.

In summer eat your barbacue by the patio of your choice in the garden. In high summer the sun will set directly over the sea in front of you. Two sets of teak garden furniture and a barbedue are provided. It is a short walk to the beach for surfing, body boarding and swimming, and close enough to be able to change at home. Traveling by car from Exeter take the A30 to Bodmin, continue all the way to Penzance by staying on the A30 to Lands End until you reach the mini rounabout at Sennen. Turn right onto Cove Road, and 500 yrds on the left is Grassmead.

We had a short break for reasons of needing to visit a sick relative in Penzance Hospital. Jan and Geoff were lovely and very supportive providing for our every need. In between times we had some lovely walks. Beach is simply stunning, about 10 mins down but if carrying beach gear back would be quite a haul back up. The accommodation was cosy but with electric heating only (thought in the picture that there was a gas fire in fireplace but this was blocked up and no fire) This was very efficient however. The interior was modern with a modern clean kitchen and bathroom, walk in modern shower. Loved the extra fan heater in the bathroom. Very toasty! The Pub in sennen was great with normal pub food and there is a local shop nearby. Great place to explore the end of the country from and we would go back. It would be nice in summer as there is a nice private lawned area and a comfortable conservatory off the double bedroom. Clean, comfortable and convenient. One negative is don't expect a cosy looking cottage from the outside, but this really wasn't important for us. |

The booking process was easy and the information about what to do on arrival was all really well thought out. The packet of choc chip cookies and the tea tray ready for when we got there was a brilliant idea. The cottage was beautifully clean and well thought out with big windows throwing lots of light into the kitchen, lounge and master bedroom. There was even a dishwasher. There were two good pubs, both serving food and in walking distance. Food in the Old Success was excellent. We didn't try the other pub's grub but it looked good. Views were stunning. Dog very happy. Coastal walks breath taking. Weather not too cold and actually quite a lot of sunshine. Because it was February we had Land's End and all the coastal paths almost to ourselves. |

Hi Geoff,
We had a lovely time, the house was so nice and clean and had everything we could need.
We couldn't get the DVD to work but that was all. It may be a good idea to tell people arrival and departing times as we got there too early, which was a bit disappointing after a long drive
All in all it was great and we'd like to stay again sometime
