Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4

A little gem! Very pretty, richly appointed, superb attention to detail and beautifully presented – words that really do sum up this gorgeous little cottage which is situated right in the very heart of this traditional Cornish village. Beech Cottage is a former charge hand's cottage dating from the 1820's and is located in a secluded terrace of similar properties that sits just behind the ancient village church and within a short stroll of the village pub and shop – perfect for an early evening pint after a hard day on the beach! The owners of Beech Cottage have worked tirelessly to create a warm and inviting property that will stand up to the rigorous demands of today's discerning visitor and they have certainly succeeded. To the front of the property is an enclosed and very pretty lawned garden with a central Beech tree (hence the name), flower filled borders and a patio area with contemporary garden furniture for al fresco eating. To the rear of the cottage is another beautifully crafted patio area with additional garden furniture to catch the evening sun and a granite built BBQ. A small outbuilding has also been renovated with a shower, hand basin and WC which is ideal if the children have just come in from the beach and need to de-sand! Outside facilities to wash down wetsuits and surf boards. Hand made soft furnishings, rich internal decoration, bespoke joinery in the bedrooms and quality fixtures and fittings throughout the cottage complete this stylish and extremely comfortable holiday property which is ideal for a family of four or for just a couple who require a little extra space and time alone! The village of St. Buryan sits twixt the north and south coasts and some of the regions most spectacular beaches can be easily reached by a short car journey. The village boasts two well stocked shops (one is a Post Office) and a pub serving good family food and is a short stroll from the cottage. The village church is well worth a visit as it has the heaviest full circle peal of six bells anywhere in the world – but don't worry, they won't disturb you!
