Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4

Looking from the outside of this traditional end of terrace Cornish cottage, you would be quite right to assume that the interior could be fairly similar. Possibly, a little traditional and quite plain? - However, nothing could be further than the truth as Anneth Lowen - which means new dwelling in Cornish - dates back over 100 years and has been completely renovated and transformed into a very pretty and contemporary holiday home.

Located in the traditional Cornish village of Paul which is set high on a hill and overlooks the village of Mousehole, the property oozes charm and character with a large granite feature fireplace complete with wood burning stove for those chilly autumn nights! The current owners have spent a considerable amount of time in trying to create a holiday home that delivers every modern facility for today's demanding guest yet still retains examples of its Cornish heritage - and they have succeeded. The colour palette for the interior decoration is rich and bold with plum coloured walls in the main bedroom and aqua and silver in the second bedroom. A very pretty poppy flower theme runs through the ground floor which perfectly compliments the soft brown leather sofas and Travertine floor tiles. The quiet and peaceful village of Paul is served by a lovely pub - the Kings Arms. Only a short stroll from the cottage, it is family friendly, serves good local ale, fresh Cornish produce and is therefore ideal for that early evening pint in the sunshine - after all you are on holiday!
