Crown's Nest (Sleeps 4)
From the bright entrance hallway leads the staircase, a cloakroom/WC which serves as a convenient space to dry outdoor clothing and the large open plan kitchen/lounge/diner, perfect for homely meals in.
The spacious and comfortable lounge area is furnished to a high standard. The comfy sofas and armchair are a perfect place to enjoy the flat-screen TV, DVD player and hi-fi system at any time of the year. The kitchen is superbly equipped with a variety of modern appliances for efficient and easy use. This opens out into the dining area with access through French doors to the large balcony, which is perfect for alfresco dining with a barbeque, garden furniture and an outside heater. On a clear day views of the Lizard peninsular can be enjoyed from here, across the beautiful Mount's Bay.
At the top of the stairs is an open landing leading to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, an airing cupboard and a bright, family bathroom with shower.
The Cornwall region
West Penwith or 'The Land's End Peninsular' is situated in the far South West of Cornwall and is arguably the most picturesque area of the country. The Peninsular has diverse land and seascape with hidden sandy coves – some of which are only accessible by scrambling down rocky cliff paths. It boasts long golden beaches, ancient moorland, rolling farmland, shipwrecks, sunken treasure iron age settlements and engine houses, which are a reminder of Cornwall's rich industrial past. Lands End is a stone's throw away with its rugged cliffs and tales of mystery and buried treasure under the waves. The far west of Cornwall enjoys one of the mildest climates in the country which makes it a perfect getaway all year round.
Penzance is a busy market town and boasts a variety of great bars, restaurants and cafe's. Located within easy reach are the city of Truro and the sailing capital, Falmouth. If it's surfing or sunbathing you're after, or perhaps a romantic walk along a deserted beach, then you can are spoilt for choice with some of the area's best beaches on your doorstep, such as Sennen, Praa Sands and Porthcurno. The Eden Project is also only a 45 minute drive away.
The famous St Michael's Mount (described as the jewel in Cornwall's crown) and Lanhydrock House are located close by or you may chose to take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly on 'The Scillonian'. The terminal and ticket office is just a short stroll from the holiday homes.
A particularly enjoyable and picturesque journey is from Penzance via St Erth to St Ives. Once a small fishing village, St Ives has grown to become one of the most famous & popular seaside towns in Cornwall which attracts scores of holiday makers every year.
There is so much to do and see in this special part of Cornwall, whether it be walking along the miles of coastal paths, taking part in water sports, including surfing, dolphin and whale spotting, bird watching, rambling, cycling, relaxing on one of the many stunning beaches, visiting the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno or the myriad of art galleries – there is something for everyone.

Lovely town house with parking ! Ideal for visiting st ives lands end etc! We stayed in overstrand last year ! One of the other town houses which was just as good ! Only down side is there needs to be a full length mirror upstairs in crows nest ! In the guest book a number of other guests have commented on this ! So I find it strange that one hasn't been provided ! As we had one in overstrand ! Crows nest also has the bonus of a large balcony which would have been great if the weather had been good ! Still we was lucky it stayed dry .

Booked out three of Wharfside Holiday Homes properties for 12 of my family to attend my brother's wedding/have a holiday. We had Mast Top's, Crow's Nest and Overstrand. It was like having our own private gated community. On entering we were gobsmacked! The photo's don't do the properties justice. They are amazing. Spacious and beautifully decorated (especially Mast Tops) with a thoughtful welcome pack too. The location is ideal, secure free parking and easy to find. We felt right in the heart of Penzance. Looking for an excuse to stay here again!

"Very nice apartment"
The apartment was great. Well decorated with plenty of space. Welcome pack was very welcome. It is conveniently located to the town and the front but it is above a retail passageway which is a hangout for people after the shops close.

"Excellent location in high quality accommodationm"
On top of a shopping centre, but in a separate gated enclave, these are well maintained and quiet 'houses', which are fully equipped and sleep four easily. The shops are only two flights of stairs below, there is virtually no street noise either during the day or at night. There is also ample safe parking within the shopping centre loading bay.
The view across Penzance harbour to St Michael's Mount is remarkable.
We had an excellent week in a prime location for visiting all of West Cornwall.
