Further details indoors: The house, which is listed, was built in the 1830s in Regency style with neo-gothic architectural detailing and maintains period integrity both inside and out. Guests enjoy the comfort and character of the imposing interior with its beautiful serpentine staircase and many original features. This property has been in the owner's family since the 1930s and continues to be a comfortable and well-loved home.
The spacious four-bedroom accommodation occupies three of the house's five storeys. The basement holds a wholly self-contained flat with separate entrance for one tenant and the top floor is not in use so privacy is assured. Regent House provides remarkable value for money as well as parking spaces for two cars, rare in such a central location.
Entrance Hall. Bedroom One: Two single beds. Bedroom Two: Double bed. Both bedrooms have original wooden shutters at the window; ideal to shut out daylight for a holiday lie in! The fine feature staircase leads to the First Floor: Modern Fitted Kitchen: Electric oven and gas hob with cooker hood, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer. Bathroom:Bath, basin and W.C. Lounge/Dining Room: An impressive room stretching the whole width of the house with full length windows affording sea views; fitted flame effect gas fire, TV/DVD player with Digibox. Second Floor: Bedroom Three: Pine bunk beds, sea view. Bedroom Four: Double bed, sea view. Shower-room: Shower cubicle, basin and W.C.
