Home description
Many holiday rental cottages in this spectacular region of Cornwall have character yet it is quite rare to find one that actually has a soul - until now! Nestled in the very heart of this traditional little fishing village, this former artist's studio immediately envelops you with a warm feeling of peace, tranquillity and relaxed comfort ' a really spacious and delightful home from home which can prove very difficult to leave!
Dating back over 150 years, The Old Chandlery was originally three small fishermen's cottages that have been sympathetically converted to provide a pretty holiday home of immense character and style and which still retains several original features including exposed Oak beams, granite walls and even the recesses of the three original fireplaces. The property has reverse level accommodation and the open plan living area has been beautifully furnished with deep sofas, scatter rugs, antique dressers and a fully equipped kitchen. The recent addition of a south facing balcony provides the perfect location for that early morning breakfast in the sun as you take in the breathtaking views of Mount's Bay across the ancient rooftops of this picturesque village.

The West Country / Cornwall region
The West Cornwall area is a premier holiday destination and offers something for everyone. Take your time to relax and bask in the sunshine, enjoying many of the golden beaches that adorn the West Cornwall coastline or take a relaxing walk through the lush moorland or a more energetic hike through the clifftops which will give you access to amazing scenery and you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of dolphins playing in the Ocean.
Picturesque villages dot this area and there is always something happening in the summer months that range from local festivals to outdoor activities. There is an abundance of culture, heritage and spirit in this area. Sample the wonderful Cornish cuisine in one of the many traditional English pubs or watch the sun set whilst enjoying cream tea and cakes in one of the many cafes. This area is also a must for shoppers with its mix of big name retail outlets and smaller eclectic shops.
Whether you are looking for an action packed holiday or somewhere to get away from it all, West Cornwall is an ideal destination for any type of holidaymaker.
Penzance / Mousehole area
Mousehole (pronounced Mowz-ul) is a hugely atmospheric old fashioned fishing port, with history and legends dating back centuries. Narrow streets, twisting alleys and a bustling fishing harbour make it a fascinating village to explore. The rugged Cornish coast is on your doorstep with towering cliffs and gorgeous coves. Mousehole itself looks out over Mounts Bay with views across Penzance, Marazion beach to St Michael's Mount, all the way out to the Lizard (England's most Southerly point)
