Further details indoors: Situated in the very heart of this pretty little village, the farmhouse has been renovated to a comfortable standard yet retains much of its traditional charm and olde worlde atmosphere. As you would expect from a 16th Century property, there is a plethora of exposed beams, timber doors, open granite stonework and two lounges - both with huge inglenook fireplaces - big enough to hold a party! Treen village has long been a favourite holiday destination as it appears to have resisted time and the hustle & bustle of the 21st Century. Set amidst acres of National Trust land, the surrounding fields are criss-crossed with footpaths which join the famous coastal path with access down to the stunning beach at Pedn-y-Vounder. The Logan Rock Inn is a lovely local pub which is open throughout the year and is only a short stroll from the property. There is always a good choice of traditional beers and excellent food on offer and children are well catered for in a separate dining room. There is a lovely beer garden at the rear of the pub where you can enjoy a glass of chilled white wine during the summer months or gather around the roaring log fires in the winter with a pint of Guinness! The quirky little village shop is only open during the summer months and stocks a good range of basic essentials including local clotted cream and some of the best tasting pasties in Cornwall! - It is also possible to buy local eggs and thick, creamy unpasteurised milk from another farm in the centre of the village! The world famous Minack Theatre and Penberth Cove is less that a mile away. Houses Farm is a wonderful holiday home which is set in a charming and timeless location.
