The West Country / Cornwall region
Cornwall enjoys a climate milder than much of the rest of England and provides the perfect holiday escape all year round.
There are great surfing beaches and wonderful coastal walks along its spectacular coastline.
The Penzance / Longrock area
Summer offers a variety of cultural events, local festivals and the Minack Theatre, while winter is quiet and truly magical.
This is an area of great natural beauty with stunning cliffs, beaches and coast, as well as good restaurants and pubs.. though the anglers among you may just want to catch your own supper.
Long Rock:
Two great pubs in the village - The Mexico Inn and Mounts View Hotel. The village store is directly beneath you, there is also a Post office just over the road and Tescos and Morrisons are within two miles.
Marazion:
The Station pub in Marazion is only 10 minutes walk up the beach path.
Mousehole:
Nearby Mousehole is an unspoilt very pretty village and has a small harbour with sandy beaches ideal for children. Small cobbled streets and hidden lanes lead to art galleries and several highly rated restaurants - perfect for a relaxing holiday. One of Mousehole's longest standing traditions is the Mousehole Lights, 'switch on' is the 17th Dec and includes a Carolaire service by local choirs and the Pendeen Silver Band.
Penzance:
Historic Penzance is a two mile stroll along the same path in the opposite direction at the end of the train line, and only 9 miles from Land's End.

Spent the Easter holidays at this property with a few friends and it was everything we'd expected...and more. Suitably located...a stone's throw from the beach, and there's a shop just downstairs in case you needed anything. The bedrooms, living room, bathroom are all spacious and neat. The kitchen is mind blowing! Would definitely recommend. |

I had a chance to get away last year and booked this flat in long rock, just on the outskirts of Penzance. From the outside it did not look like much but inside was a well proportioned 3 bed flat... more |
