Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 3
Mole Cottage is located in the centre of Mousehole, one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall. A traditional granite fisherman's cottage, grade II listed in fact, and nestling in a conservation area. The cottage offers a tranquil space to get away from it all, whilst being within a stone's throw of all that's going on in this lovely village.
The cottage is laid out over 3 floors which means it has the most superb views out over Mousehole village, the picturesque harbour and to the sea beyond; you can see all the way over to the Lizard on a clear day and catch glimpses of St Michael's Mount in the other direction.
The cottage comfortably sleeps 3 in 2 bedrooms, one double and one single. We can also supply a cot and high chair for a child aged up to 3 years if required. We think Mole Cottage is perfect for couples and small families looking for a relaxing escape in Cornwall.
The light and airy lounge has a retro-inspired theme with some genuine 1960's furniture mixed in with more contemporary pieces. There is a comfortable sofa and tub chair to seat up to 3 in total. LCD digital TV, separate DVD player, hi-fi system and iPod dock are provided, along with a good selection of books and magazines. The dining area seats 3 (plus highchair if required).
The recently fitted oak kitchen has top spec appliances including ceramic hob, electric oven and grill, microwave, fridge with small freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. All of the usual small appliances, crockery, pans, etc, are provided.
The shower room has a spacious 1200 x 800 shower enclosure with electric shower. The heated towel radiator will keep your towels super warm and dry. We provide luxury bathroom towels and spa robes.
The bedrooms are brightly lit by huge sash windows, the double room having wooden shutters and an additional window giving panoramic sea views. The sun pours into the room on sunny days. Beds are made up for your arrival with top quality bed linen.
Mousehole is a fantastic location for a Cornish holiday with its picturesque harbour providing a lovely safe, sandy beach for children. There is a good selection of gift shops and galleries and, for eating out, there are some well-established and highly rated restaurants within the village. Mousehole has an excellent bus service and is within easy reach of a huge range of interesting places well worth a visit, from gardens to historic houses to theme parks and zoos. Just a few of these include The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Michael's Mount, The National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek and Glendurgan Garden.

The West Country region
Situated in the South-Western tip of Cornwall, this region is known for its sub-tropical climate with numerous tropical gardens flourishing in the open air. The weather is almost always milder here than in more Northern parts of the country. There is a good choice of clean, golden sandy beaches in the region together with many interesting places to visit including World Heritage Sites, historic houses and beautiful gardens. Festivals and Celebrations are a big part of Cornish tradition throughout the year including Golowan in the Summer and Tom Bawcock's Eve in December.
Mousehole is a beautiful Cornish fishing village with the most picturesque harbour. The centre of the village is a conservation area with traditional granite cottages lining pretty narrow lanes. Nestled in amongst the cottages you will find excellent restaurants and cafes together with art galleries and high quality gift shops.
