About the home

Located in the centre of the charming fishing village of Mousehole, The Net Loft is a one bedroom holiday cottage apartment that sleeps 2 adults. The Net Loft forms part of a much larger building which was originally used by the fishermen in the 1800s to hang and mend their nets.

The whole building was converted to Artist's Studios in early 1900s and again in 1998 into attractive cottage apartments, which retain their original character providing the perfect holiday home for visitors to Mousehole. The Net Loft is located in a pretty cobbled lane and local artists still live and work in the area.

The Net Loft sleeps 2-4 people (double bedroom plus a sofabed for 2 extra guests), has a travel cot for a babe in arms and is located only metres away from the harbour front in Mousehole. The apartment consists of:

• Bright double bedroom with plently of cupboard space.

• Bathroom with hot shower.

• Large and airy open plan living, dining and kitchen area.

• Kitchen area contains crockery and cutlery for 4 people, electric cooker with a variety of cooking utensils, a washing machine, refrigerator (with freezer compartment) and a microwave.

• Dining / living area contains a dining table, chairs for 4 people and a comfortable double sofa(bed) and armchair.

• TV with Video & Freeview also in living area with a plentyful supply of videos.

• Digital radio with iPod dock.

• Bookcase with maps and novels as well as a good collection of books on the local history and folklore of Mousehole and surrounding areas.

• Fresh linen, bath towels and kitchen towels supplied.

• Electricity included.

• Pets welcome.

A 25% deposit is required in order to confirm the booking and the balance is payable one month before the commencement of the holiday.

Payment can be made through the Net Loft's website with a debit card or cheque with no surcharge.

Accommodation available from 3pm on day of arrival. Please vacate on day of departure by 10am.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall forms the tip of the south-west peninsula of England. The area has an extensive coastline with many secluded bays and beaches, charming fishing villages and scenic coastal walks. Cornwall also tends to have a considerably milder climate than the rest of the UK.

The Penzance / Mousehole area

The Net Loft is located in the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole which is about 3 miles from Penzance. The poet Dylan Thomas described Mousehole as the loveliest village in England, although many Cornishman would dispute that this part of the world can be described as England! With old world charm, its streets are filled with many art galleries, small shops, and restaurants.

The sheltered harbour contains a small beach suitable for families.

Car
Follow the A30 through Cornwall to the roundabout near Tesco Supermarket on the Penzance outskirts, bear left towards Penzance and follow the coastal road with the harbour on your left along the Promenade to Newlyn and then onto Mousehole (Penzance to Mousehole is approximately 3 miles).

Train
The nearest train station to The Net Loft is Penzance which is 3 miles away. Direct services to Penzance are approximately 5 hours from London, 2 hours from Newquay and 4 hours from Bristol.

If travelling from London, there is a sleeper service? From London Paddington the sleeper departs at 23:45 (Sun-Fri) and arrives in Penzance at 08:00 the following morning. From Penzance the sleeper departs at 22:00 (Sun-Fri) and arrives in London Paddington at 05:11 the following morning. On Sundays this service departs Penzance at 21:15.
