New to the rental market, Brittany Cottage is a 2-bed fisherman's cottage on a small village complex - Les Terrasses de Pentrez in the town of Saint Nic. The cottage offers comfortable accommodation for up to 6 guests with an outside terrace area to make the most of sunny days.
There are sea views from the upstairs windows and a footpath connects the complex with direct access to the beautiful Pentrez Plage (beach) - a 400m walk from the cottage. The bay of Douarnenez can also be accessed easily from the cottage and the north coast offers great surfing facilities.
The complex is made up of approx 70 cottages and duplex apartments and the area is well maintained with multilingual staff on site. As well as the communal pool (heated and covered), there is also a children's play area and a children's club operates during the summer. There is a reception area where you can find out more about the local area as well as hire various equipment to make your stay more comfortable. Laundry facilities are also available on site.
In Pentrez, there are various restaurants, bars and creperies, again within walking distance of the cottage. A small market is available each day on the beach.

The Brittany region
Brittany is the westernmost region of France and has 3000km of coastline. The west coast is characterised by dramatic cliffs and rock formations, the north by attractive coves and tiny harbours. To the south there are wide estuaries and long sandy beaches.
Brittany has long been loved by visitors for its beautiful beaches and indeed there are hundreds to choose from. However, there is much more to Brittany than just beaches. The area is steeped in history with many medieval places of interest as well as little rural towns and villages to lose yourself in.
Of course don't forget the pancakes! This is the home of the perfect crepe so making time to sample this local speciality is a holiday essential when visiting Brittany.
The weather in Brittany is generally milder and warmer than in Southern Britain. Being further south the temperatures are usually a few degrees higher. Average summer temperatures of around 21º c - 27º c (70° f -80º f) with winter temperatures rarely falling below freezing.
Located on the magnificent bay of Douarnenez, Pentrez Plage is within walking distance of the cottage and was listed in the Sunday Times Top 20 Beaches in Europe.
With a 4k stretch of fine sandy beach it is perfect for those with young children wishing to explore the rock pools as well as being a great escape for all ages whether you want to relax or take part in the many sporting activities available such as surfing, sailing and kite flying. Enthusiastic hikers and those brave enough to try their hand at paragliding can head to the Menez Hom (7k) at the peak of the Black Mountains. The seaside town of Douarnenez has a lovely old fishing harbour lined with colourful houses.
Nestled deep in the Bay of Douarnenez, Saint Nic is a small resort boasting a long sandy beach with a rich, historical heritage.
It lies in the Finistère region of Brittany. With a total of 795km of coastline, Finistère offers everything to charm lovers of coastal landscapes and wild cliffs. It is here, between Sein and Quessant islands, that the Iroise Sea marks the transition between the Atlantic Ocean and the Channel. Boasting beautiful sandy beaches, the coast of the Channel is great for swimming. Inland, Finistère offers marvellous places of interest to discover with its natural sites, such as the Arrée Mountains and the Black Mountains, as well as opportunites to sample its rich and religious heritage.

"Lovely holiday home!"
We have just returned from an excellent long weekend at Brittany Cottage. The house was clean, tidy and in a great quiet location. Lovely beach 2 minutes away with places to eat along the beach front. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage!
I'm delighted that you had a lovely holiday at Brittany Cottage and thank you for your review.

"Great holiday cottage located near an amazing creperie and beach."
We had a great time at the cottage (which was situated within a holiday complex). Anne (the owner) was very helpful and gave us clear instructions on how to get there and there was also a useful booklet of information about the area in the cottage.
The apartment sleeps 5 persons quite comfortably and was generally very clean.
It's located near one of the best creperies ever (Creperie de Kevengard) and is about 5 minutes walk from the beach. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with cooking equipment, and we were able to cook seafood that we bought from a travelling fishmonger located on the beach.
Would stay here again if I visited this area of Brittany again!
Thanks for your great review and I'm thrilled that you had such a good time at Brittany Cottage. Yes, it is an amazing creperie - just don't think about the calories! Hope to hear from you again next time you want to stay in Brittany x
