Betws-y-Coed is North Wales' most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers, photographers, artists, and game fishermen.
At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs and places to eat and a challenging 9 hole golf course, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre.
Bodlondeb is a charming, 17th century, stone built cottage, supremely located in the delightful village of Betws-y-Coed.
It has been our home for the past 30 years until we renovated and extended the adjoining former stable block and blacksmiths known as Tan-y-Foel, which is now our new home.
Bodlondeb is light and airy throughout and decorated in a traditional style, amid an inviting "home from home" atmosphere.
Discover the famous Pont-y-Pair bridge, spanning the surging waters of the picturesque River Llugwy, just a stone's throw from the property on the quiet B5106 road to Gwydir Castle.
The drive has parking for three or four cars and is only a few minutes walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants in the village, without the need to use a car, just park , relax and unwind.
Renowned as the "Gateway to Snowdonia", Betws-y-Coed provides excellent mountaineering, mountain biking, canoeing and nature watching opportunities amidst the stunning mountain range that surrounds the area, together with a good choice of shops and pubs. An ideal base for an all year round action packed or restful holiday.
We can arrange local guided salmon and trout fishing days out, please see our river report, details and pricing on our website. Please ask for link.
There is now fully secured dedicated free WiFi available throughout the cottage.

We had a group of 9 friends (+ a 1 year old). From the beginning of our week there we were made to feel very welcome by Rob and Sue. They gave us a wonderful welcome pack, which was stocked with really useful things and the wine was a most welcome addition :-), and fantastic restaurant recommendations. The house is in a great location, 5 minutes from the main street in Betws. Even with 9 adults and a child the house was big enough to accommodate us without falling over each other and was very child friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this to others and will certainly stay there again should we have the oporotunity to go back to North Wales.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is greatly appreciated. We would love to welcome you back to Bodlondeb in the near future.
