This is a beautiful privately owned freehold bungalow set within the Clai mawr caravan park, available all year round including Christmas and new year. It is just a three minute drive from Benllech and a lovely walk across the bay to the ship inn and the old boat house restaraunt. It has a fantastic open plan layout for 9 people with the possibility to accomodate more than one family due to its super spacious dimensions.The Bungalow is fitted out to a high standard, boasting a roof garden with views of the sea and beach at Red wharf bay and the Snowdonia mountain range. The front of the house is a decked area, which is set up for outside living with a timber sheltered area with a log burner and a large barbecue. Inside there is a dining table that turns into a pool table, a 50 inch plasma tv, a central featured log burner and a high class island based kitchen. the Bungalow has 4 bedrooms - 1 double, one twin, one triple with a pullout single bed and a fourth with bunkbeds, sleeping 9 in total. The decor and styling of the bungalow was designed by the owner Patricia and has a true elegant feel with a modern twist, featuring a unique mix of modern and antique furniture. The bungalow is located two miles from Benllech amid Clai Mawr caravan park, just a 15 minute walk across red wharf bay to the ship public house and the old boat house restaraunt. Between the dates of October the 31st and mid march the bungalow provides the occupant with a tranquil peace haven as the caravan park closes while the privately owned bungalow becomes exclusive as it is available all year round.

Thank you for such a lovely review it is so nice when people have a great stay in our holiday home. However, there are 9 beds, one is called a trundle bed and pulls out from underneath the other one, you must have missed it. Many thanks again we look forward to your return.

Many thanks for your 4/5 review, we value your opinions and try to respond to them in an effort to improve our guests holidays.

The house has parking for 3 cars, so this has left us a little confused. Two cars are parked on the left hand side drive and one at the front of the house, however we were told by some residents that you had visitors on some of your days and there was up to five cars at the house at one time, this did cause a little bit of upset with some of the caravan owners in the vacinity.

Since your stay we have bought a full set of wine glasses and replenished the utensils, pots and pans due to some breakages and sad to say, theft of some items.

The electricity is a meter and costs an average weekly stay about £15-£20 per stay and we are having wifi fitted this winter, your quite right it is becoming an essential on holiday for most of us now.

"Lovely decor, great open plan, good location"

A lovely bungalow which offered enough sleeping for a group of 9. The decor and open plan arrangements was very appealing. The lovely wood burner did indeed heat the main room thoroughly and the bedrooms and bathrooms each had an electric heater which when turned on did a good job too. Electricity was prepaid using a top up system which you could buy in blocks of £5 from a local shop. I think we spent £15 for 3 days in February? You could also get logs from the same shop for a small cost.

The kitchen is set up slightly unusually but no real problem. We managed to cook for 6 with the pots and pans provided, any more people and you'd need more large pans. You can comfortably get 6 around the table, not sure where another 3 people would sit perhaps on the patio in summer?

The table opened up into a pool table which was a bit of fun, we all used the same cue as the other 3 needed repairing. A lovely large TV and we were planning to watch some family DVD's in the evenings but there was no DVD facility and we couldn't connect our portable DVD players to it either. Not a great problem but it would be nice to have the option. I imagine in the summer people are out on the lovely roof garden in the evenings but in February it was a little too cold for that.

There was no WiFi which was a disappointment as it was advertised and it was a significant point when choosing the bungalow. Perhaps the break from it did the teenagers good but valentines day probably wasn't the best time for them to drop out of their social circles ?.......nah they survived.

The mobile phone signal was very patchy which is worth mentioning for more urgent calls which may be necessary.

I can imagine in summer lounging on the decking or enjoying the sun in the lounge or whilst cooking with the patio windows open or relaxing on the roof garden. Yes returning in the warmer weather would be nice but I would also return in winter.
