The property was architect designed in 1954 and has remained in the family since. It has recently benefited from a sympathetic restoration and is an ideal base to explore Newquay and Cornwall. Although built post WW2, the interior has an art deco feel to it with its curved staircase original bathroom suite, arches and parquet flooring.
It is perfect for families with children, has 2 spacious gardens both in the front and rear with a covered pargolla in the back garden.
Similarly, it is ideal for golfers, surfers and walkers with all amenities easily walkable. A car is not necessary for a Newquay based holiday, however a car is advised if you wish to explore the attractions of the County.
As a child (during the 1960's and 70's), I used to spend my summer holidays in this home and have tried my best to re-create the ambience without compromising on modern day comforts.

Newquay is a vibrant resort on the North Cornish coast spread over dramatic cliffs and towering crags. It is well known for it's fine surfing beaches.
The property has views of the picturesque Gannel Estuary which separates Pentire Headland from the village of Crantock and its beach. The estuary is a site of great historic interest, bearing evidence of human activity that dates back to the Bronze Age. Today, the tidal river and its salt marshes are an important habitat for birds. The ringed plover, redshank, common teal and wigeon may often be seen at low tide.
Nearby popular Fistral beach sheltered by steep sand dunes has almost half a mile of inviting golden sands. It boasts consistently good swell and during August hosts the Ripcurl boardmasters
Newquay golf course sits behind Fistral beach and offers fantastic views over the bay as well as the landmark redbrick Headland Hotel: www.newquaygolfclub.co.uk

"An ideal chance to relax with the family"
Quesnelle is in the ideal location situated between Newquay for its lively atmosphere and amemities, Crantock for its sweeping beeches and Pentire with its marvellous views, all of which only a short walk away. If you wish to explore it is placed centrally within Cornwall and near to main arterial routes, north or south most locations are within 30 to 40 minutes. We have visited a number of times and always found it a welcoming home from home. The property is well appointed with all the appointments you would expect at home only with a a great deal more space. The rear garden is enclosed, spacious and well presented which is a godsend if like me you have dogs. Suprisingly as it is so close to everything the property sits in a quiet location and its easy to settle into a book without any distractions. In all we found Quesnelle a great place to stay offering a wide range of options to enjoy ourselves, we will be booking again.

"Fantastic house would highly recommend"
This is the 2nd year but third time we have stopped at this property. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, our extended family come and there is plenty of room, especially useful is the garage and the enclosed garden. The property is central both to the beach and towns and very handy is the park at the top of the road for the children. Any problems you have ( How to work the appliances ) the landlord will sort them out without a fuss and promptly and will do everything he can to make your stay perfect. A real home from home. Look forward to many more holidays in this house.
