Hollin How is a recently converted barn in the small village of Dockray, one mile from Ullswater and the lake’s attractions.
An ideal area for walkers, with walks right from your doorstep including Aira Force waterfall. Gowbarrow Fell is to the West of the village and High Street mountain range and Helvellyn are nearby. For the more energetic and adventurous Rookin House Activity Centre is just over a mile away where you can try numerous activities including archery, quad bikes, go Karts, horse riding, fishing and clay pigeon shooting. Also ideal area for mountain biking or cycling.
The Royal Hotel is only a few minutes walk where you can have an informal bar meal or dine in the restaurant which serves traditional Cumbrian and modern dishes. They also have a good selection of real ales.
Hollin How is adjoining the owners house and has been recently renovated to a very high standard whilst keeping many of the barn’s original features such as deep window recesses and exposed oak beams.
Modern well equipped solid oak kitchen with granite work tops, and slate floors. Open plan dining area and lounge with leather sofa and solid oak flooring completes the ground floor. The oak staircase leads to the spacious double bedroom with pine furnishings and en suite luxurious bathroom.

The Cumbria/Lake District
The Lake District National Park is the largest in England, covering fells, lakes, villages, towns and beaches.
The Lake District National Park in the county of Cumbria is one of the most beautiful areas in the UK. Lake Windemere which is 10 1/2 miles long and 219 feet deep, and the largest of the Lakes, is only 15 minutes drive away.
Lindale is situated on the Southern edge of the National Park, only a short drive from the M6 motorway.
The perfect place to come and rest and unwind or, for the more adventurous, an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.

How to get there
Leave the M6 at junction 40 and follow signs for Kewick and the A66.
Continue on the A66 for approx 7 miles, then turn left following signs for a5091 to Troutbeck, Dockray & Ullswater.
Follow the A5091 until you come to the village of Dockray.
