Our luxury Rochester Wing is self-contained with fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining room, newly refurbished modern bathroom featuring a whirlpool bath and a power shower with various shower patterns, king size 4-poster bed master bedroom and twin bedroom. Guests have full use of the grounds including the characteristic Great Hall with its grand piano, snooker table, feature fireplace and original oak panelling. The Rochester Wing at Orton Hall is ideal for romantic breaks and peaceful getaways, with plenty of beautiful walks on the doorstep, great routes for cycling, a wide selection of golf courses in the region, riding and fishing; and easy access to the rest of the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Orton Village hosts the nationally acclaimed and award-winning Orton Farmers' Market each month.

The Lake District National Park is the largest in the UK and one of the most beautiful parts of the country, where you will find an abundance of activities and attractions to suit all ages and interests. Orton Hall is a 20-30 minute drive from the main attractions of the Lake District.
Penrith / Orton Village area
Orton Hall is located on the southern edge of Orton Village in Cumbria. Many of the village houses were built in the 18th century and have remained virtually unaltered in outside appearance since. A magnificent Norman church stands guard over the village. The pace of life is slow and offers a truly relaxed and friendly country holiday. Nearby amenities include cycling, walking, fishing, golf and riding. Orton Village has a pub, tea rooms, village shop and chocolate factory where you can see luxury chocolates being made by hand. Orton's monthly farmers' market is the UK's first accredited farmers' market and won the farmers' market of the year award 2005.
How to get there
From the North of the UK: Exit M6 motorway at junction 39 and follow the B6261 to Orton. Take a right at The George Hotel and Orton Hall is approx 500 yards on the left.
From the South of the UK: Exit the M6 motorway at Junction 38 and follow the B6260 signposted Orton. Orton Hall is approx 4 miles on the right hand side just before the main village.
