Surrounded by quiet countryside and enjoying spectacular views of open green fields the hall offers luxury accommodation for ten guests with five bedrooms, large open plan farmhouse kitchen and shared use of the spa facilities which include a sauna and steam room. The hall also has a games room with fantastic championship sized table tennis and fabulous gardens to the front and rear. Larger parties can also be accommodated with the neighbouring hall offering accommodation for a further eight guests.

With two staircases leading to the first floor the main one is a magnificent purpose built of oak with open tread staircase.  The first floor has oak flooring throughout the area, with a vintage Italian chandelier hanging over the dining table and a stunning central hanging wood burner for open plan living. Lounge Area: With wide screen TV with full sky HD package, DVD and ipod and iphone dock station. Dining and Kitchen Area: Has a central island with hob and pop up extractor and air circulator, a breakfast bar, there is a further double oven, microwave, dishwasher, American style drinks fridge/freezer with built in wine chiller.

The ground floor is limestone with underfloor oil fired central heating and comprises: Front entrance porch leading to a spacious hallway. Bedroom 1:  Double aspect room with double bed, wardrobe and dressing table and en suite with shower cubicle, wash basin and WC Bedroom 2: With views of the valley this room has twin beds, dressing table and built in wardrobe and en suite with shower cubicle, wash basin and WC Bedroom 3: Double aspect room with king size bed large built in wardrobe and dressing table en suite with shower cubicle, wash basin and WC House Bathroom: With stunning centrally placed stone bath, wash basin and WC Back entrance porch leading to WC and Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

All fuel, electric, bed linen and towels included. A basked of logs is provided. All en suites have built in hairdryers and shaver points.  Travel cot & high chair available for a small charge. Wireless broadband available.

The Lake District National Park lies at the heart of Cumbria and contains well known and much loved holiday destinations such as Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Coniston and Grasmere, here there are lots of charming Lakeland villages to discover and visitor attractions for all the family. The northern and western lakes have miles of untouched natural rugged beauty and rural villages as well as being home to the historic northern lakes town of Keswick with its many shops, pubs and restaurants; providing a great holiday base. Other areas to discover include the Eden Valley, Cartmel peninsula, south east Cumbria and the Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall area; all equally beautiful and very handy for day trips into the lakes.


Bretherdale is a peaceful hamlet 10 miles north of Kendal in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and away from the busier spots of the Lake District. Three miles from the hamlet is the delightful village of Orton which has a grocery store, farmers market and an award winning ‘chocolate factory'! Its location, not too far from the M6 means it's easy to access both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Penrith is just 15 miles south and the market town of Kendal, 10 miles away offers a host of historical buildings, public houses and peaceful walks. Of course it goes without saying Bretherdale is a walker's paradise with hiking in the surrounding fells available straight from the door.
