About the home

Depending on the size of your party, Lilac Barn and Lilac Studio can offer a lot more space than other holiday cottages in Cumbria, because they have an interconnecting door that allows them to be let out as one single property. Yet if you'd prefer to rent either of them individually then you will find in each cottage a barn conversion that oozes character and is fully furnished to a high standard. Both Cumbrian cottages have under floor heating and contain open, spacious living areas. The Lilac Barn's double-bedrooms boasts stunning views of the Pennines and Blencathra respectively, while the Lilac Studio features a Master bedroom with high-beamed ceilings and leather couch to just sink into and relax.

Bedroom 1:  Master bedroom with king size bed, beamed ceiling and leather settee to relax and enjoy the views towards the Pennine Hills, with en-suite shower, W.C. and wash basin.
Lilac Studio is a spacious 1 bedroom cottage with heating and comprises:
Open plan living area: With free view TV and DVD.
Kitchen/dining area: With electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier and microwave.
Separate W.C and wash basin.
All fuel, towels and bed linen provided. Cot available on request.

The Cumbria/Lake District region

The Lake District conjures up images of magnificent mountains and shimmering lakes and that is exactly what visitors find here. The Penrith / Newton Reigny area

Situated in the tranquil village of Newton Reigny, visitors to either the Lilac Barn or Lilac Studio will have easy access to the village pub where they can sample the local cuisine. Yet, as with other Lake District cottages, these accommodations' greatest selling points are their proximity to nature and the area's striking scenery. Ullswater, the Northern Lakes and Eden Lake alone are within a short distance of Lilac Barn and Lilac Studio and at any of these locations visitors will be able to indulge in a picturesque country amble, some boating or a spot of water-sports on the lake.<br />
