Wellgarth Cottage is a terraced property, one of five situated around a courtyard development in the village of Newby, eight miles from Appleby in Cumbria and opposite the owner's home. This cottage sleeps six people in four bedrooms, consisting of a double with an en-suite bath, a twin and two singles, as well as a main bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area and two sitting rooms. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a front patio with furniture. Wellgarth Cottage is an ideal base for a family, with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Parks, Ullswater, Penrith and the Scottish Borders.

Eight miles away is the historic town of Appleby, which is a major stop on the scenic Settle-Carlisle railway line, and boasts 15th Century architecture, a Norman Castle and a 300 year old annual horse fair.
