Welcome to “Green Hedges”, our ancestral home & the name of the original building on this site, which was owned by my Great Great Aunt. Dad built this Bungalow in 1982.

The property is a three-bedroomed bungalow, in a rural setting, on a quiet rural lane. Just 400 yards from the spectacular Gower coastline, with it's glorious walks & beaches. This is a great base for exploring all that Gower has to offer, in all seasons.

This Welsh Tourist Board 4 Star-rated property comfortably sleeps 5 plus space for a cot. It has a good sized family-friendly garden & comes with the addition of Sky & Broadband.

On a quiet country lane in the lovely village of Southgate, we are just 20 minutes cliff-top walk away from the acclaimed Three Cliff's Bay.? With the Gower Peninsula having over 15 beaches and lots of country/coastal walks and just 8 miles outside Swansea, with all it's facilities, we are ideally located for the comprehensive British holiday.

We have recently modernised the property & we use it ourselves so we hope it meets your needs

Available for weeks, long weekends & short stays, all year round.

If you have never visited the Gower Peninsula before, it is an exceptional place, with lots of beaches, walks, activities & fabulous scenery. Swansea is a thriving town & the nearby Mumbles, which once was a fishing village, is a very popular resort with good “boutique” shops and bars/restaurants. Try Verdi's on the seafront & don't forget to taste the legendary Joe's ice-cream.

The Gower peninsula is scattered with attractive villages, many with good pubs serving food. Do travel round & see what it has to offer.

My favourite is Llangennith beach, 5 miles long, great for walking (the dog?), beach fishing, surfing, sand dunes & in the nearby village, the Kings Head Pub or why not try Port Eynon.

However, just a 20 minute walk away from the property is Three Cliffs, (see the photo in the Lounge) one of the most photographed pieces of scenery in the country. With the adjacent Pobbles beach, it is a hugely popular area, (but not crowded as it can only be accessed by foot). Just follow the cliff path round from Pennard Stores. Come back by walking up the valley alongside the golf course which will bring you out at the far end of the village. A nice round walk.

If you walk east along the cliff road, you will eventually come to a point above Pwll-du beach. Go down the steep path & you come to a secluded pebble cove.

Away from the sea, visit Reynoldston & the highest point on the peninsula, Cefn Bryn, from where you can see up to 7 counties, on a clear day. Tramp across the moor to Arthur's Stone, (yes, we have one to!) then slip down to the village for a drink/meal at the King Arthur Pub.

Recently, the local Pennard Stores & Coffee Shop have been opening their café/restaurant on Friday & Saturday evenings (in Summer). If you like good, fresh food, do give it a try. We think it is great.
