The costs for dining out and groceries are excellent and many people recommend the menu of the day on offer in each restaurant -where a 3 course meal with a drink,/bottle of wine , water and coffee is from 8 euros per person.
There is a 12km.promenade along the seafront with cycle/walkway to Benicarlo and Vinaros.both fabulous places to visit ...shopping centres,boutiques,cinemas,marina and discos plus the traditional tapas bars, live music !Traditional local music and dancing is always available somewhere in Peniscola and do not miss the firework display from the old castle grounds every Saturday night...at least!

The main airports are Reus or Valencia both about an hour away .The new Castellon airport is due to open 2010 will only be 25 mins.
