New to the rental market for June 2008 a traditional Spanish apartment with countryside views. 5 mins walk to quiet shingle coves and 1.4 kms.to busy 7kms long sandy blue flag beach and all amenities in Peniscola "The City In The Sea" e.g restaurants , bars, water sports, harbour, shops, etc.

Set in tranquil and secure surroundings accommodation comprises of 2 bedrooms, large shower room, fully equipped kitchen, lounge/ diner, small conservatory leading to back patio, orchard and large side terrace. Fully equipped with sun loungers parasol, patio table, chairs and BBQ. An ideal location for families or couples seeking a relaxing or action packed holiday.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Costa del Azahar region

Costa Azahar is known as "the orange blossom coast "and Peniscola is known as "the City in the Sea"
A variety of places to visit and huge choice of activities.An ideal location for couples or families seeking a relaxing or an adventurous holiday. Inland is where the real unspoiit Spain can be found, where the towns have a wealth of great history and tradition or the fab. coastline offering blue flag beaches .

Within driving distance, you will find the cultural Barcelona (2 hours) and Valencia (1hour ). Portaventura /Universal.(theme park) is 1 hour away and Aquarama (water park) only half an hour away.Ebro delta fab beaches ,restaurants , boat and fishing trips!....

Peniscola / Monte Pichells area

A car is not necessary to enjoy the apartment as everything is in walking distance but the surrounding countryside and sights are worth viewing
The town centre offers facilities to rent bikes , quads and also car hire. This is a regular bus service 0.4m.from the apartment to the town centre 1 euro to Peniscola town. A 12km.promenade along the seafront with cycle/walkway to Benicarlo and Vinaros.both fabulous places to visit ...shopping centres, boutiques, cinemas, marina and discos plus the traditional tapas bars, live music!

On the beaches all watersports, children's activities,parasol and sunloungers are available, as well as boat trips. As Peniscola is a fishing harbour you can hire a boat to go fishing or even buy fish fresh off the boat when they return from their afternoons fishing trawl.
The old part of Peniscola is known as the city in the sea ...steeped in history ,fabulous viewing points,cobbled pedestrian only streets,lined with quaint shops,boutiques,cafe/bars and restaurants serving fabulous fish dishes and locally produced wines.

Various festivals and celebrations take place all year round and the locals are eager for all to join in. Or why not sit on the terrace of the apartment and enjoy the views while you relax..

The apartment overlooks natural park called the Sierra D-irta which is a beautiful protected area suitable for those who enjoy walking and cycling or would like to admire the scenery and private beaches stretching all the way along the coastline.

Other activities include...golf -25mins.,go-kart 20mins.horse riding,,divingcourses,tennis ,flying lessons etc.

Nearby there are sports facilities (April to September only) and a beautiful large outdoor swimming pool within a few minutes....payable daily
The nearest waterpark called Aquarama is located 25 km from the apartment, or the huge water park located in Portaventura/Universal- Spanish disneyland 1 hour
Our apartment has a wealth of possibilities. Peniscola is suitable if you're looking for a relaxing tranquil holiday or a busy action packed one. It offers something for all tastes and ages

The tourist board information is located in the centre of Peniscola and the helpful staff who also speak English will give you additional guidance to ensure you enjoy your stay in Spain.

How to get there

The main airports are Reus or Valencia both just over an hour away. They are served by all the major and budget airlines e.g Easyjet, Bmi, Ryanair, Thomsonfly,Monarch etc from all U.K. locations.

A new airport at Castellon due to open August 2008 will be 25 mins
Airport transfer service is available in a luxury 7 seater vehicle offering a door to door service.

Car hire is available from the airports or booked in advance e.g Economycarhire, Hertz, Europecar. etc.. or can be hired from Peniscola

There is an excellent bus and train service from the airports to Benicarlo and then a 10 minute taxi ride to the apartment.

- The choice of outdoor areas provide private sunbathing on the large side terrace,seating and dining alfresco on the back patio- equipped with BBQ,Parasol and garden area.Or enjoy the shade of the conservatory.overlooking the garden and small orange tree orchard.

- Private and secure surroundings in well maintained /shared gardens,and private car parking with security key access.
- A bus runs hourly to Peniscola or inland(Easter time then June -October)...1 euro per person to Peniscola !

THE.APARTMENT IS CLEAN ,GOOD SUPPLY OF TOWELS AND UTENSILS .- EVERYTHING WE NEEDED . THE OUTSIDE AREAS ARE GREAT FOR THE CHILDREN TO PLAY. LOVED PENISCOLA ,BEACHES ARE CLOSE BY WITH LOTS TO SEE AND DO.
WE CAME WITHOUT A CAR BUT THE BUS SERVICE IS AMAZING -ALWAYS ON TIME !
