Sunset villa is a spacious new 3 bedroom home in the classic tradition, with its own swimming pool, 5 km from Lourinha, the nearest major town, and 1 km from Porto Dinheiro, the nearest beach and restaurants that are open all year round .

Take the chance to explore one of Europe's best kept secrets, an area with so much to offer from UNESCO heritage architecture to world class sport facilities. A lovely mixture of history, a gentle way of life, varied, unspoilt environment and a pleasant climate. Investigate the museums, art galleries and shops in Lisbon. Go wine tasting. Enjoy a round of golf on an internationally renowned course, surf the rollers at super turbos beach and feel the amazing sensation of passage and piaffe on a beautifully trained stallion. Pamper yourself at the famous spa nearby. Or spend the day far from the crowds relaxing beside the pool, watch the sun set over the ocean and either wander down to the local cafes and restaurants for an evening meal of fresh caught fish / lobster or a pizza or rustle up a feast on the BBQ.

Kitchen contains large fridge freezer, sink, dishwasher, electric hob and oven, microwave oven, plenty of storage units and surfaces and dining table with six chairs. French doors to patio garden and pool.

Bedroom 1 downstairs has 2 single beds, bedroom 2 upstairs has a large king size bed and bedroom 3 also has a double bed, a balcony over the pool and sea views. There is an alcove and a garage that could also be used as extra sleeping quarters if need be. Sheets, duvets, pillow cases and house towels are provided and the property is cleaned professionally once a week.

Downstairs bathroom has WC, bidet, wash hand basin and whirlpool bath. Upstairs bathroom has WC, bidet, wash hand basin and shower.

Utility room between kitchen and garage has washing machine and ironing board.
There is a BBQ house near the pool and a spacious double garage.

Further details outdoors:
An enclosed garden surrounds the house on three sides which is mainly paved as patios, however there are some flowering plants and bushes planted such as bougainvillea and several fruit trees in flower beds and tubs.

The private pool (approx 4ft deep) is at the rear of the house next to the BBQ house. A jacuzzi is built into the pool at one end. This area has an outside table, chairs, sun umbrella and six sun loungers.

All bookings should be made with a 30% deposit. Full payment to be complete 6 weeks prior to entry. Payment in Euros preferred. If payment in sterling is made then full rental price in sterling agreed at time of booking and cost of transfer of funds to euros may be passed to customer.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

This area is full of things to do and places to see. It is a holiday makers haven with opportunities to suit most people. Whether you want cultural events, action sports, capital city sophistication, an abundance of noteworthy historical buildings, formula one lifestyle, sumptuous fresh locally grown food and drink, a wide variety of golf courses, world class dressage trainers, fantastic surfing beaches or peace and quiet - it is all here.

The Peniche / Lourinha area

A couple of hundred meters to nearest shop, 1 km to nearest beach and restaurant, 5 km to nearest town and supermarket, 50 km to Lisbon and airport.

Several well known golf courses are within striking distance for example - Praia d'El Rei, Bom Sucesso, Golden Eagle, Porto Novo Golf d'El Mar,and Consolacao.

A favourite pastime among locals is sea fishing from the beaches and rock promontaries near Porto Dinheiro.

The Silver Coast is famous for its beaches with plenty of safe, unspoilt golden strands every few kilometres. Many of these have lifeguards all summer and some are excellent for bodyboarding and surfing. In fact world championships are often held at Baleal and Ericeria beaches. The sea water is fresh and clean but can be cold in spring and autumn.

Bombarral and the Oeste of Portugal is a productive wine growing centre with many vinyards producing classic vintages.

There are several famous and attractive places and features nearby. Areia Branca and Peniche's surfing beaches are a few kilometres up the coast and Vimeiro with its golf course, equestrian centre and spa hotel is around 5 kilometres to the south. Lourinha a relaxed market town first established by the Romans has a dinosaur museum, fresh food market and a good selection of shops and restaurants.

Obidos a not-to-be-missed medieval fortified village, the bridal gift of Portuguese kings to their queens, is about 30 minutes drive away near the towns of Caldas da Rainha and Rio Major. Praia d'el Rei and the watersports centres of Baleal, Foz do Arelho and the Obidos lagoon.

Batalha, Alcobaca, Fatima, Tomar, the palaces of Sintra and Mafra, and Lisbon, a fascinating European capital city, all lie within about an hour's drive. The area is well known for its pleasant climate, its fruit and wine growing and there are some excellent classical dressage trainers and lusitano horse riding schools within easy reach.

From Lisbon and the South take the A8 motorway north towards Porto and Coimbra. After Torras Vedras take slip road off onto N82 towards Lourinha.As you reach Lourinha follow road to left and signs to Ribamar. Pass through Santa Barbara and take small road right to Porto Dinheiro at statue of a woman and child. Villa is 0.5 of a kilometre further on as you are leaving the village heading to the beach.

From Santarem direction and the East take A15 motorway towards Obidos then join A8 south briefly (towards Lisbon) and soon take right off-ramp onto IP6 west towards Peniche, then N247 south to Lourinha. From there directions as above.
