This property is an apartment located in the unique Baleal Island. It is truly amazing as you are completely surrounded by the ocean. The apartment is in a spot ideal for surfing, fishing and beach relaxation. You have ideal conditions for all of these within 100 meters from this apartment.

It has two rooms, both with a double bed. One of the rooms has the possibility for a single bed. Also, it has an extra division whit a single bed, making it flexible to fit whatever you require - just contact us and we will see how we can accommodate you. A well equipped kitchen and a good selection of games and dvd's, plus cable tv, make for good options for an entertaining night for all the family or friends.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region

This is a lovely area with plenty of uncrowded beaches nearby. It is also close to a number of monuments which are well worth a visit - please enquire for further details. There are world famous surf spots within walking distance, or just a short drive.

Costa de Prata is stretching from Lison to Figueira de Foz and benefits from golden-sand beaches washed with waves of the Atlantic Ocean. This is not the most popular part of Portugal and this its beauty - with small, pretty villages with a typical Portuguese way of life, culture and quinine, you will experience the rural and unspoiled way of living.

Peniche / Baleal area

Among the local attractions are Óbidos Castle, Alcobaça Monastery and Berlenga Island, a National Park. There are numerous restaurants in which to sample the wonderful local cuisine, as well as plenty of activities including watersports and fishing. Ideal holiday location for relaxing on the beach but close to cities for shopping and nightlife.

Peniche is a small and peaceful village, where you can talk with the locals, gorge on the local quinine and enjoy the scenery and one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.

How to get there

Lisbon airport less than 100km away
Lisbon to Peniche following A8 and then IP6
Plenty of buses connect Lisbon to Peniche
We provide free transfers from the Peniche bus station to your accommodation
Transfer service available for 75 EUR from Lisbon airport

You leave the airport in direction to A1 – Porto, and after driving for about 2 kilometres out of the airport you’ll have an exit to A8 – Oeste. Take that exit. After the exit, stay at your left until you’re back on the road.



You’ll drive about 4 kilometres and get into a tunnel. In the tunnel, stay at your right. In the very end of the tunnel you turn right, still heading to A8 – Oeste or A8 - Leiria. You go down for about 1 kilometre and you then enter in the A8. Be careful with that entrance, it’s also an exit (roads in Portugal).



Stay in the A8 for about 70 kilometres. You’ll have to pay tolls (about 4.8 eur last time I checked, but I could be wrong). The tolls work like this. About 4 kilometres of the last entrance I told you, you’ll have to stop to get a ticket. 40 kilometres later you’ll have to stop to pay it. Don’t loose that ticket, otherwise you’ll pay big time.

Be careful not to go in the area designated Via Verde, it’s an automatic payment system for subscribers only.



After those tolls where you pay, 30 more kilometres and you’ll have an exit to IP6 – Peniche. It’s exit number 14. Exit 13 also says Peniche but it’s a longer drive.



Follow the IP6 for about 20 kilometres. You’ll see Peniche in the horizon.



Arriving in Peniche, you’ll pass 3 roundabouts. First 2 you follow to Peniche, 3rd you follow to Casais do Baleal. (turn right)



5 kilometres of road with dunes on your left and you’ll enter Casais do Baleal.



At the first roundabout in Baleal, turn left and park your car. You’ll be right by the beaches and the access to the Island. Give me a call then and I will meet up with you and take you to your apartment. You're less than 200 meters away. My number is 00351 960083432.
