Relax in front of the welcoming open fire, sink into the cosy sofas and admire the views. There is also a TV and video for rainy days. The large, claret coloured Dining Room has splendid furniture, a piano and an open fire. This is the perfect dining room for a family gathering or special meal. There are 6 bedrooms (2 doubles, 3 twins and a family room for four). All of the rooms have stunning views towards either the Pentland Hills to the west or Lammermuir Hills to the south.

A large, fully equipped modern farmhouse kitchen, with pine kitchen table seating for 12 to 14, large electric range cooker plus all mod cons. The Central Scotland/Edinburgh region

East Lothian is one of Scotland's best golfing regions. We have 19 courses catering for golfers of all standards and tastes. Winton is a member of the East Lothian Golf Tourism Alliance. North Berwick Golf Club is an Open qualifying venue which is one of the best and most scenic links courses in Scotland with views over the Isle of May, the islands of Fidra and Craigleith, the Bass Rock and across the Forth to Fife.

East Lothian Museums

Collections range from social history to fine art, and from stone age flints to great industrial machines. They include trades banners and costume; the oldest recorded gannet; the civic regalia of the old burghs of East Lothian; and a Cornish beam engine, unique in Scotland.

Scottish Seabird Centre
www.seabird.org
The Scottish Seabird Centre is an award winning wildlife visitor centre and one of Scotland’s Five Star attractions. The Centre is located in North Berwick, East Lothian which provides a fantastic location to view the seabirds of the Forth Estuary.

Eastlinks Family Park

Eastlinks provides a day out for all the family. Attractions include an animal farm, train safari, toboggan run, bouncy castle, giant maze and pony rides.

Scotch Malt Whisky Society
www.smws.com
Somewhere to relax, unwind and taste the finest malts (or wine if you don’t like whisky!) We provide membership cards for our guest to enjoy this pleasure in Leith or in the New Town, Edinburgh.

Pencaitland area

Wintonhill Farmhouse is also close to 20 excellent golf courses, sweeping sandy beaches, fishing, sailing, horse riding, hill walking, Musselburgh Racecourse, Glenkinchie Distillery, the Scottish Seabird Centre and the city of Edinburgh itself. There are 20 km of pathways on the Estate for those who expect a jog before breakfast!

The house is set in the Winton Estate, Winton House has been at the heart of the estate for more than 500 years. It is a gem from the Scottish Renaissance and is my family home. Just as the Earl of Winton entertained the King in 1633, we have the same enthusiasm for private and corporate events and team building today! In 2005 we won a World Travel Award for our overall client service and our venue.

Across the Estate, we can provide a wide choice of team building activities alongside the traditional areas of farming and forestry. Activities range from clay pigeon shooting, falconry and laser paintball, to golf, the Winton Highland Games, quad biking, whisky tasting and wine tasting. There are walled and terraced gardens, and miles of foot paths through some of East Lothian’s most beautiful countryside.

The gardens are beautiful and it is our intention that they should be even more so. They surround the House and we have tried to provide colour and all-year-round interest. In the spring when the ground is covered in yellow daffodils, there is an annual open day in aid of Scotland’s Garden Scheme. This event has been running at Winton for over 50 years.
