Barafundle: another one of Pembrokeshires unspoilt beaches. This can be approached from a clifftop car park or more scenically via Bosherton Lily Ponds, one of the most beautiful walks in the national park. The Lily ponds and lakes are the largest area of fresh water in the Pembrokeshire coast national park.The lakes attract an abundance of Birds and wildlife. Located to the east is Barafundle Bay which on a sunny day the golden sand and deep blue sea can easily convince you that you are in a mediterranean resort. Only 4 miles further west of Freshwater East is the historic town of Pembroke which has one of the best preserved castles in Wales.
