The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

Situated in the southwest corner of Wales, the county of Pembrokeshire is loved for its mild climate, unspoilt beaches, pretty towns and villages and breath taking scenery, making it an ideal holiday destination. The coast path is world famous and includes some of the best beaches to be found anywhere! and is all within an hour's drive of the very centrally located apartment.

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail (now part of the All Wales Coast Path) is a must and whether tackling a short section of it, or enjoying a full day's hike, there will be fantastic sights to be seen and memories to be made, along the way. It is possible to visit all sections of the path very easily from Milford Haven. The location really is very central.

Pembrokeshire has a fleet of five coastal bus services that run 7 days a week throughout the summer (and in part during the winter) specifically tailored to those exploring the coastline. The buses cover most of the 186 miles of Coast Path and can also be used in conjunction with your car to expand your walking opportunities.

Pembrokeshire has much to offer and a quick internet search is sure to inspire.

Check out the small vibrant town of Narberth, loved for its great choice of independent shops, the wild Preseli Hills, the superb offshore islands, the lovely seaside town of Tenby and the smallest city in Wales, St David's to name but a few. The choice of superb beaches is wide-ranging and the county boasts more than its fair share of castles and heritage sites. All of this, along with the chance to take part in many outdoor activities or to visit some of the great family attractions, means that there is something for everyone.

Pembroke

Milford Haven is situated within one of the finest natural harbours in the world and there is much to see on the waterway.

Locally there are cafes, restaurants and shops dotted around the marina and all adding to the holiday atmosphere.

It is easy to while away the hours here, whilst watching the world go by.

Milford Haven has a fascinating museum, which is situated within the marina and also has a very good theatre, 'The Torch' which is just a short walk from the marina entrance. There are also plenty of good eateries around the marina, covering most tastes, whether you are looking for a day-time snack or evening dining. The marina area also has some great retail outlets.

Within the waterway, there is always plenty going on and it is possible to walk from Milford Haven in either direction to experience the many facets of it. The commercial shipping is always an interesting sight, but around each bend, there is so much more to see. Heading towards Dale and the open sea, there are beautiful estuarine bays and quiet backwaters which can soon make you feel a million miles from anywhere. It is well worth exploring the waterway and you will experience another side to Pembrokeshire altogether.

Do not forget that this location is so very well placed for everything else that Pembrokeshire has to offer!
