"Bombing in next door field during the week sometimes!"

The place is nice - rustic and agricultural but what the advert fails to disclose is that next field is part of a military range. Imagine taking an elderly person - who was a child in London when it w… More

the range does not fire at weekends or during school holidays. If you visit the Pembrokeshire coast you are never far from a firing range. Pendine,Penally,Manorbier,Castlemartin,Brawdy etc. The range calender is only posted 2 weeks in advance and even then it doesn't say what is firing. Small arms or very rarely heavy gun fire. On this occasion it was the latter. This is not the norm. But it happens in pembrokeshire.I'm not sure cornwall is much better. Thats the uk for you. We only have one coastal national park (pembs) and we put 8 firing ranges ,2 refineries , an lng terminal and a power station on it.

"Very nice place in "the middle of nowhere"(in a positive way)"

Had a very nice and quiet time in the house. It's situated in the middle of a farm with the next neighbours miles away, which is great if you want to spend a few quiet days with friends and famil… More

The property is still a working farm in that horses are still kept in the grounds and certain areas are still work in progress. The outbuildings are typical of what you would find in similar properties anywhere in the uk. With regards to the "late cancellation" i hardly think this observation is fair. As the customer only heard one side of the story. Another person who had booked one nights b and b did turn up during the customers stay. They had booked 3 weeks previously. In the booking they originally stated they would be arriving off the irish ferry and would be at the property at 2 in the morning. They requested a cot and a cooked breakfast. I responded that i could not accept the booking as we are a small family run b and b not a hotel. I pointed out check in time is between 2pm and 9 pm. (later would disturb other guests) ,it states quite clearly we do not provide cots and we don't do a cooked breakfast. So he would be better served going elsewhere. No response . further emails no response. I phoned them in ireland no response. I feel the customer, on this particular occasion, hasn't given a balanced view of this particular 'carry on' . The downstairs bathroom isn't described as such on the website. it is listed as a shower room. The water pressure thing is a fair comment but both showers can be made to work on the right settings for both to be satisfactory. Comments on the hand basin ......fair enough its not ideal.
