The Pembrokeshire region
Pembrokeshire and West Wales offers visitors to the area a unique holiday experience.
For those wishing to enjoy traditional seaside atmosphere there is famous Tenby and Saundersfoot which bustle with activity in the summer months and again towards Christmas and New year with the Boxing Day and New year swims, great fun for swimmers and spectators alike.
Cliffs, sand dunes and tiny coves are scattered all along the coast from Poppit Sands to Pendine, approximately 180 miles of coastline. Some beaches are secluded with hidden or limited access, whilst others are more visible and therefore more popular ...but never really crowded, part of the benefits of being at the tip of West Wales.
Bosheston Lily Ponds is an international important nature reserve providing wildlife habitat for otters, waterfowl, herons and dragonflies. Large pike can be spotted basking underneath overhanging weeping willow trees. Circular lakeside paths meander around the Ponds which were created as a folly on the Stackpole estate 200 years ago and fabulous waterlilies float atop the water from May through to August. Another safe family bathing beach - Broadhaven South beach - can form part of the day's outing, as can the tiny harbour of Stackpole Quay.
For families and young adults there is a great selection of activities including the renowned Oakwoods Theme Park, Folly farm, Heatherton Adventure Park and Manor House Animal Park. There are also numerous historic castles in the area, the most famous being Pembroke Castle, a Norman fortress situated in the heart of Pembroke town, which is a treat for children to explore and learn at the same time.
Driving for a leisurely 30-45 minutes gives access to the City of St Davids with its famous cathedral, small fishing villages such as Solva, the Presseli Mountains and famous surf spots such as Newgale and Broadhaven North.
Most of the areas mentioned above can be accessed via the local Coastal Hopper bus service which stops near our driveway. Sue and Phil, owners of the property are local to the area and can provide maps and local knowledge to help you plan your holiday whether you choose an action packed break or a more relaxed
Hundleton sits directly on the route of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. This is the only coastal National Park in Britain and as can be expected boasts a variety of spectacular beaches and breathtaking scenery.
The coast path, beaches and nearby woodlands provide excellent opportunity for recreational walking or more strenuous trekking. There are also opportunities for fishing, canoeing, surfing, cycling, shooting as well as sight seeing and relaxing.
The award winning Barafundle Bay is only 4 miles away and is a gorgeous sheltered sandy cove, voted as one of the great 10 beaches in the world. It can only be accessed by a 15 minute walk or by boat or kayak which further adds to its appeal as it is invaribly retains an exclusive feel and is never really busy.
Freshwater East, Manorbier and Angle are all within a 6 mile radius whilst the more rugged Freshwater West (our main photograph) is only 5 miles away. Freshwater West is a world famous surf beach and the setting for the latest Harry Potter film and Robin Hood. All of these beaches are prized for their surf and are great places to visit all year round, becoming less busy and walker and dog friendly as children return to school.

"Nice, comfy house with awesome garden"
Great location: right at the end of a small village. Surroundings are amazing if you are looking for places to walk, or enjoy the landscape. Very nice, warm and comfy house: good beds, lots of cooking utensils, practical bathroon. The garden is huge, it even has trampolin! We had lovely weather and could have BBQ outside. Sue was very nice and even recommended places to visit and restaurantes. They also have lots of trail guides and magaiznes in the house. Only downside was that Sue wasn´t there for the weekend so we didn´t get to spend a lot of time with their gorgeous dogs! :)

"Super, quiet location for exploring Pembrokeshire coast."
Sue made us very welcome and we had everything we needed for a quiet, comfortable stay. She even brought us some delicious home-made Welsh produce! All the wonderful coast paths of Pembrokeshire are within easy reach of The Boundary. We'd certainly recommend it.

"Home from home!"
Just back from our best family holiday ever, thanks in no small part to the excellent hospitality of Sue, Phil & their lovely children. The accomodation was perfect for us & our 10 year old son. It was very clean and so well equipped with everything you'd need, had plenty of space too & a beautiful garden. Location wise The Boundary is perfect, only a 5 minute drive from Pembroke town but yet in a quiet idylic village with plently of beautiful walks, beaches & cycle paths nearby. Another bonus was our son got on great with Sue & Phils children & a special thanks to their daughter Hannah for her babysitting which allowed us to get out for a couple of nights alone. Our son really enjoyed being minded by her & we were able to go out & relax knowing he was in very capable hands. We are seriously thinking of taking our holidays there next year again as there is so much to do in Pembrokeshire and Sue & Phil are a mine of information about local attractions & places to eat. Lastly a special mention for their 2 beautiful dogs & for Phils new extension, a bike shed which he built whilst we were there. We will be reccommending this property to all our friends & family who wish to visit Wales.

"Comfortable and Relaxing"
We stayed for a long weekend at The Boundary. The cottage was so nice and cozy. It is attached to the back of the owner's house, which is convenient if we needed anything. It was private and had everything you would need. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood. Sue, the owner and her family were very sweet to us. In fact, Sue made us bread and jam and left it in our house for when we got there. They even have two of the sweetest dogs that love to welcome you there. Sue was great at recommending places to eat and places to go. Very knowledgeable about the area. The cottage is close to the beaches and Pembroke Castle. If we get to come back to Wales we will definitely stay there again. Thanks Sue for helping us have a lovely holiday.

"Lovely Weekend Getaway"
'The Boundary' is great place to stay it's well looked after and the garden is beautiful. Sue and her family are very welcoming and offer lots of local information (like best take outs, and best beaches). My family and I had a great weekend away and it was nice to include our 3 dachshunds.

"Warm Welcome and close to great beaches"
We had a warm welcome from the start and nothing was to much trouble for the owners. They were very helpful with suggestions on what to do on a rainy day and even let us use some of their DVDs. Cottage was clean and comfortable a real home away from home. The owner Sue even baked us a special cake for our arrival. My daughter didn't have chance to get bored had lots of fun as she played with the owners children on their trampoline a few times. Its lovely to find a cottage where we could take our dog, that was such a saving in itself. The area is central to many fine beaches. It was very special to visit the beach (Freshwater West) where they made the last Harry Potter Film and The Robin Hood Film with Russell Crowe. Pembroke Castle is wonderful and only a couple of miles away. Overall an Excellent Holiday and when back in Wales will definately book this property again.

"Warm welcome and very comfortable accomodation"
This property is an annexe to the owners main property and had everything we needed (also some unexpected additions which showed the keenness of the owners for us to enjoy our stay). The property was clean, warm and a great base to explore this fantastic area. Close to brilliant beaches at Freshwater West, Angle and Barafundle. Dog owners welcomed which was great for us. The property was great value and experience beyond expectations.
