Freshwater East Bay is a popular destination for both families and couples. Its lies nestled in the valley of Freshwater East and form's part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park. It's a land of beauty and enchantment at the western edge of West Wales. Pembrokeshire has it all from miles of Coastal Walks, Beautiful Safe Clean Unspoilt Beaches, Ancient Castles to nationally acclaimed holiday theme Parks.
Our Beach House Accommodation is located in the village of Freshwater East 4 miles from the market town of Pembroke. Bustling Tenby Town and Harbour are a mere 20 minute drive away and there is a local bus service which is available via The Coastal Hopper.
The opportunities for fishing, canoeing, surfing, cycling and exploring both rugged and family friendly beaches are all on the doorstep. There is a pub restaurant on site which is excellent and good value within walking distance of the beach house. There are many other lovely country pubs and restaurants all within a few miles of Freshwater East.
Nearby Pembroke castle (www.greatcastlesofwales.co.uk/pembroke.htm) is a great attraction for kids and adults to explore and the renowned welsh attractions of Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm and Heatherton adventure parks plus many more visitor attractions, such as Bosheston Lily Ponds, Barafundle Bay, Broad Haven Bay South are nearby.
Driving for a leisurely 30-45 minutes also gives access to the City of St Davids with its famous cathedral, small fishing villages such as Solva, the Presseli mountains and famous surf spots such as Broadhaven North and Newgale.
The Beaches in the local area are excellent. The award winning Barafundle bay is only 6 miles away and is a gorgeous sheltered sandy cove voted as one of the great 10 beaches in the world. Freshwater East, Manobier and Angle are all within a 6 mile radius. The more rugged beach of Freshwater West (setting for the last Harry Potter and Robin Hood films and many surfing competitions) is only 5 miles away. Most of these areas can be accessed via the local Coastal Hopper bus service which stops by the bridge near the beach.
The Beach House Accommodation & Facilities
Our beach house offers clean, comfortable self-catering accommodation for 4-5 persons. The fully equipped double glazed beach house is situated in the centre of the holiday village with views over the surrounding countryside and is approximately 200 metres level walk from the lovely sheltered sandy & dune beach of freshwater east bay.
it comprises of an open-plan lounge / kitchen/ diner on the ground floor with 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. We supply you with with bed linen and electricity at no extra cost.
The grounds around the home are well maintained with large lawned areas ideal for sitting out and enjoying those sundowers, barbeques and is safe for the children to play and run around.

You can access the coast path from both sides of the beach. One way will take you towards Swanlake Bay, Manobier, Tenby and beyond and in the other direction you can walk towards Bosheston Lily Ponds, Stackpole Quay and Barafundle Bay, St Govan Chapel, Freshwater West.
In the last two years The International Ironman Competition has been held in the area and many cyclists train on our country roads.
Freshwater West beach is renowed for its rugged landscape and great waves, many surf schools use this beach and it has hosted many surf competitions in the pass.
Pembroke is an ancient medieval market town and is home to Pembroke Castle the birthplace of Henry Tudor, it often has falconry and medieval fighting displays on throughout the year.
Pembroke has many lovely cafes where some will give you access to free WiFi including Pembroke Town Hall. You will find The Country Market which is situated in Pembroke Town Hall is open most Thursdays from 9.00 to 13.00. Where you can purchase tasty local Home-cooked Food and local produce.
