Freshwater East Beach House
House | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
One of the coloured houses close to Freshwater Bay, the Beach House is a New England style property boasting two verandahs, both complete with tables and chairs. The beach is a short stroll of 150 yards and there are partial views from the vernandah. There is a child friendly bar and restaurant between the house and the beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast footpath almost passes the door.
On entering the property from the front, there is a large living area that leads into a brand-new fitted kitchen, complete with a microwave, washing machine with tumble dryer and a dishwasher. Leading out from the kitchen is a toilet and shower room that can also be accessed from the rear entrance, which is ideal for washing sandy feet from visits to the beach.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and bath. The master bedroom has an ensuite, double bed and has patio doors leading out onto the first floor verandah. The other two bedrooms are twin rooms with two single beds in each.
The Beach House has double-glazed timber windows, electric heating and designated parking with extra space for visitors.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region
The property's location is in the heart of Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park. An excellent base for exploring the many areas of natual beauty. To name but a few, Castlemartin Peninsula, Stackpole Quay, Bosherton Lily Ponds, Broad Haven Beach and Barafundle Bay all within easy reach.
There are a number of local pubs offering great food. For dining out in style we would recommend a trip to Tenby. There are several good quality restaurants in Saundersfoot, of special note is the restaurant at St Brides Hotel. Closer to home, Carew Inn has a nice atmosphere and an attractive menu. The villages of Lamphey and Stackpole are approximately one mile away, Pembroke about four miles and Tenby ten miles
Without doubt the area's most dramatic asset is the 240 mile Coastal Footpath, which passes the front door of the Beach House. There is a coastal park bus service which offers great value and an opportunity not to always have to retrace your steps.
Full details of the path, its attractions, events and travel options can be found on the National Park's website
Within an hour's walk of Freshwater Beach House you will find Barafundle Beach, voted by the Best Holiday Guide as Britain's most beautiful beach. Barafundle is an east-facing cove sheltered by Stackpole Head from prevailing winds and backed by sand dunes and woodland. With its waters kept warm by the Gulf Stream, large tides keep its fine golden sand clean.
With no direct road, the beach can only be accessed by foot. Most visitors leave their cars at Stackpole Quay and take a stunning cliff-top stroll to the sands.
There are many other attractions in Pembrokeshire

"A home from home in an excellent location"
Booking directly with the owner couldn't have been easier. We were given some great information for things to do and places to visit in the confirmation email. The property was very spacious and spotless on arrival and contained everything you would expect and more.
The location is fantastic, only 150 yards away from a lovely clean beach and not too far from any of the places and attractions recommended.
