The kitchen was newly fitted last year and is well equipped with a washing machine, fridge, freezer, tumble dryer, electric cooker, microwave etc. The lounge has a leather reclining sofas and chair, a 32 inch TV, DVD player and WiFi.

Puffin is an excellent base for either a family beach holiday, an activity holiday, a relaxing holiday or for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is located just 375 metres from Freshwater East beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. There's lots to see and do in the area from Norman castles and stunning scenery to exciting theme parks and adrenaline sports.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in South West Wales is famous for its spectacular coastal scenery and the long distance Pembrokeshire Coast Path. It has beautiful islands, interesting towns and villages to visit, wonderful wildlife, lots of heritage sites and family attractions.

Pembrokeshire has one of the mildest climates in the United Kingdom. It is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as climbing, fishing, kayaking and surfing.

Pembrokeshire appeals to families, couples, walkers, outdoor enthusiasts and lovers of sunshine and fresh air.

Pembroke

The Pembroke area is in the south of the county which is where you will find most of the sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire such as the famous Barafundle Bay and Freshwater West (where Robin Hood and Harry Potter were filmed in recent years).

There are many fine Norman castles such as Pembroke, Carew and Manorbier.

South Pembrokeshire also has a good selection of theme parks - Oakwood, Blue Lagoon Water Park, Heatherton Activity Park, Manor House Wild Life Park, Dinosaur Park and Folly Farm.

Beauty spots include the Green Bridge of Wales, Bosherston Lily Ponds, Colby Woodland Gardens, Caldey Island and Tenby Harbour.

Tenby gets quite busy with tourists in the summer so it is quite nice to choose one of the nearby villages such as Freshwater East for your stay.

In the Freshwater East area there are several good places to eat such as the Freshwater Inn, The Lantern, the Dial Inn, Lamphey Hall Hotel and Lamphey Court Hotel at Lamphey, the Stackpole Inn at Stackpole, and the Longhouse in Freshwater Bay Holiday Village. Pembroke Dock is where you will find the main supermarkets and also an interesting naval dockyard history.

"Cost effective, clean and well equipped"

Our stay in Freshwater Holiday Village was a last minute trip. We found the accommodation clean, very cost effective and well equipped. The booking and service from Jenny was professional, friendly and very easy and we were made to feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this place to others looking to escape to Tenby.
