Pembrokeshire is a hidden gem, quieter and less developed than Cornwall, it is the only coastal National Park in the UK. Come to enjoy beautiful quiet beaches and breathtaking scenery.

Cresswell Quay on the bank of the Cleddau estuary is a hidden gem. It has a a lovely traditional pub The Cresselly Arms and is a great location for exploring the County and is centrally located within 10 miles of Pembroke with it's Tudor castle, Narberth (great shops) and Tenby a seaside resort with a walled town and a gorgeous harbour.

Take a boat trip to Caldey Island to visit the monastery.Catch crabs off the harbour wall or take a boat out to sea to fish for mackerel.

Nearby Manorbier beach is popular with surfers, the less energetic can take a stroll around the castle where 'I Captured the Castle" was filmed.

Movie buffs will enjoy a walk on Freshwater West beach where Harry Potters elf friend Dobby died in his arms in "The Deathly Hallows" and where Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" was filmed.

A visit to many of the nearby beaches is a must with Barafundle beach regularly voted one of the best in the World.

Nature lovers will enjoy a visit to Skomer Island, Marine Nature Reserve to see the large colony of Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills and Kittiwakes as well as Atlantic grey seals - in Spring the bluebells are spectacular.

Walk part of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire costal path.

There are activities nearby for all ages that will keep the whole family entertained - Anna's Welsh Zoo at Manor House, Heatherton Activity World, Folly Farm, Oakwood, Go-Karting, Tenby Museum, Coasteering, Quad biking, Ancient Castles... the list goes on and on.

Gardens - Aberglasney the "garden lost in time" and the National Botanic Garden of Wales at Middleton Hall are both nearby in the Towy Valley (less than an hours drive).

"an picturesque cottage with excellent facilities in a stunning position"

A great holiday, there is so much to do in this area. The cottage is so comfortable, our bedroom was lovely - comfy bed, white linen, great view. The children loved their bunk beds which are solid and handcrafted. The bathroom was stunning. Kitchen great - all mod cons, sitting area cosy. After a day out - on the beaches, or towns, we could come back and have an early evening drink whilst the children went crabbing off the pier by the pub or went kayakking on the tidal river - all within our view. We brought our own kayaaks. - See photo.
